Thanks for the pictures of Rome, Natalie. Is that where you are? All of Italy is amazing. Walking into the Panthenon, and touching the doors that were actually there 2000 years ago . . . the breathtaking sense of history and time. I really wish I did have a million dollars to go back!
Texasgal, I'm familiar with the BNL, and while the green dress is a must, I think I can live without the monkey #wink#

No, I'm not in Rome...I had just gone to visit some friends that were there for the day!

I've only been south of the boarder of Arizona into Mexico, and to Canada. Otherwise any of my travels have been here in the United States. I would love to see pretty much any of the places that have been mentioned. Have any of you seen the new Powerball commercial? It has the choir for a door bell! They are so clever. Again, with two boys I would definitely have to skip the big golden bathroom. Anyone with male children know exactly what I am talking about!

SP, I hope your restaurant will be a regional Indian restaurant! I'll be your first customer!

Actually, I was planning a Bangladeshi restaurant. They're really rare even in India and the cuisine is on the verge of extinction. It would be nice to sort of "revive" the cuisine. Besides, my dad can be the head chef (and hence it'll be cheap ) I've got almost everything planned, except for the chairs #bounce#

That would be great, SP. But please open your restaurant here. Bangladeshi food is hard to find in TX.
As for chairs, what kind of furniture is popular in Bangladesh? You could make that your restaurant's motif.

I wouldn't know about that but I doubt a dung-covered floor would appeal to most American customers. (Might be a bit too much reality for most of us <grin>) I guess the sky is the limit as for furniture so just furnish whatever appeals to you. ;D Edited to add: I envision your restaurant featuring rattan furniture. But rattan may be more distinctive of Thai or Malaysian, rather than Bangladeshi so I have no idea what might be typical of a Bangladeshi restaurant. You'd know much better than I.
