The Mega Millions lottery is up to 250 Million in New York. I am playing with a number of my coworkers. We have been sitting around (instead of working) dreaming about how we would spend the money if we were to win. I was amazed at how so many of my coworkers knew exactly what they would do with the money.
Other than help my family members (some of my family need a lot of help), I’m not exactly sure what I would do with the money. I don’t even know if I could handle having that much money (sometimes I think too much money just makes people stupid).
Anyway, here is the question. What would you do if you won the lottery?

Track down Owen so I could meet him!  Well actually no I wouldn't.........well.........maybe I would  but I'd do lots of other stuff 1st! I'd help out my family and friends too, have some good trips to see parts of the world I've always wanted to see, buy lots of lovely clothes, handbags and shoes ( shoes and handbags are "my thing" - I've already got an unhealth amount..........), and I know it sounds trite but I really would give loads to charity - there are so many I would like to help. Particularly research into strokes 'cos my daddy died of a stroke at 51. And one thing I've always wanted to do - even though it sounds mad!!! - is to go into Harrods in the scuffyist clothes I could find looking like I haven't got "two hapennies to rub together" as they say here in the UK and spend a fortune just to see the look on their faces!!!!! Oh and but an Aston Martin a la 007 stylie. Oh a girl can dream......................... OOHH and one thing I would do before anything else is take my boyfriend to the Antarctic to Scotts Cabin which is the one things he wants to do most of all. We've looked into it and to join a trip to go would cost about £40,000 ($72,000) - way out of our price range. Blimey there's no stopping me when I start to think of how I'd spend it!!!! |

Good Luck! i will say a prayer for you. I have always thought about what i would do with the money but seeing as i don't do the lottery i have no chance. Anyway. I would travel around America and see all the cool places, and visit all of you lovely people. I would also get my dad to build me a dream home with a swimming pool, pool table room and cinema. So i can watch The Wilson's on big screen all day. Of course you are all invited over. Someone bring the popcorn!!  |

Good fun idea for a thread topic, MAC. And may I say it's great to have you back!!  JR & hutch, you said some interesting things... Antarctica... meeting all the Wilsonettes. How cool are those! Me, I'd solve all my family and friend's financial worries. Like everyone else, I know plenty of people in that situation. There are so many charities I can think of I'd like to help that I can't list them all. The only thing I can think of for myself is that I have always wanted to see Israel. So I'd keep enough for myself to take that trip. Actually there are two other indulgences I'd do for myself: 1. Fly all you Wilsonettes in for a reunion. 2. Rent myself a Wilson. |

I don't know if I would rent myself a Wilson, maybe I would just back their next movie. I would be the money person and Executive Producer. Can you image having all those planning meeting with Owen, Luke and Andrew? ....no, no guys, I don't think that nude scene is over the top...

Of course, if I were making a Wilson movie I would also be in charge of casting and would make sure everyone on the board has a part in the movie. Aren't there a few of you guys who are writing a screen play?

Let's see - If I won, there are a few charities I'd like to give some of the money too, then I'd take a trip to Australia & New Zealand. That's always been a dream of mine. Of course I'd ask Owen to come along. He could show me a couple of those "private" swimming places, for some skinny dipping.  Then I'd put some money in the bank for my grandbabies college fund & buy a classic Mustang for hubby. |

Well..I would send my parents to the Caribbean and Italy, I would buy an old house so I can recyle it, I would meet all my online friends, help the rest of my family and friends.....and as you said..be the money person for a Wilson movie and a Harry Potter one!! hehehe

They keep playing Powerball comercials with the theme "What if"? One of the commercials has little people dressed as yard gnomes, 1 clocking in and 1 clocking out! The other has and enormous golden bathroom. All I can think about when I see the golden bathroom is I have 2 boys, so that would just be that much more pee all over the place! I would definitely have to buy a house and set up trust funds for the boys. I would go back to school, and have a heck of a vacation or two, or three... Maybe throw a big "Wilson" party and invite you all!
