Does anyone know where I can find a copy of "Tamala 2010" on dvd? It's a Japanese film. Here's the story. When this film played in L.A. I drove down with a bunch of friends to see it and loved it. I've waited for it to come out on dvd and I've never been able to find any info on it coming out. Well tonight I had my friend watch "The Cat Returns" (I love that movie!) and it started us talking about Tamala 2010 again and how we want to find it. I searched around and it seems it now has been released on dvd but only for Japan. I'm afraid it wouldn't play on an american dvd player, and it also may not have the subtitles if I tried to buy one of those. I know some of you ladies are in other countries and I wondered if anyone could find anything out? If there's a version that would play on an American dvd player that has the english subtitles or a release date for that version? I'm desperate! Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

Thanks for your help. Do they sell dvd players that play both region 1 and region 2? My old dvd player is about to kick it. It keeps freezing while playing and things and I can hear the lazer doing funky things in there, so I'm going to be buying a new one soon anyway. I like a lot of foreign films and a lot of foreign films on region 2 have different bonus features than the region 1 disc (like "City of God" for instance, it just has a documentary on the region 1 disc, but I've read it has a lot of other stuff on the region 2) so it would be worth it for me to buy a more expensive dvd player if it could play both regions. Does anyone know if that exists?

I actually want to get a DVD player like that. For some DVD players, you can "crack" them and they will then allow you to play movies from every region. I tried that on mine, and it didn't work. Anyway, here's a link for region-free DVD players: www.regioncodefreedvd.com/index.html
