That's good news. I think Luke would be a great Bobby Ewing.

I thought Owen's name was attached to that project? I thought I saw his name mentioned as being a contender for Bobby Ewing...... I have to say that I worry about re-makes. They are not usually very good-there are always a couple of exceptions (Charlies Angels, Starsky and Hutch), but for the most part, I find them a disappointment. J-Lo is in it too? Not a J-Lo fan.... I'll just hope for the best and pray it doesn't completely suck-maybe if they lampooned Dallas or something...I just can't see a serious re-make. Remember the re-make of The Mod Squad? Romeo and Juliette? The Scarlett Letter? 'Nuff said. Shirley MacLaine as Miss Ellie? Yikes. Beth, wary

Gage51, you are not wrong. It was in my paper sometime last year I wonder if they meant Owen It will be interesting to see Luke in that role, he was a bit of a bad guy!!

I am in total agreement, Beth. I hope that neither Wilson is attached. Sorry Investigators will know where to come looking if a "who shot Furg" episode where to happen en route to Dublin, eh Sylcia ;D

Gage & Lib, in fact I agree with you. I rarely like re-makes. They are almost always horrible and should never have been made. I just like seeing all of the Wilsons I can.
I guess that demonstrates the level of excitement in my life when I could tolerate seeing a Wilson as a Ewing!

I just heard this on the news! Interesting . . .
J-Lo as SueEllen, John Travolta as J.R. and Luke as Bobby--talk about an interesting cast!

Personally, I can see why Luke and Owen would be considering it... I mean, look at how brilliant the last movie that Owen made with JLo was. ;D Dallas is bound to be really bad. I know both boys must have better sense than that.

ET reported last night that Luke has either signed on or is under serious consideration to play the part of Bobby. (I was so gah-gah over looking at him that I missed the audio part).
TV shows adapted to the big screen have a history of being horrible. I'm sorry to see Luke do this. Maybe he wants/needs - or thinks he needs - the exposure and the salary to do something of his own as a follow-up project.
Warren Beatty did this when he starred in a remake of "Heaven Can Wait." Through that, he earned enough money to make the movie he really wanted to make, "Reds."
Maybe Luke has something similar in mind? Just speculating.

I don't like remakes myself, hence the reason why I've never watched Starsky and Hutch ... I was the biggest Hutch fan when I was 6. I even have the original David Soul 7" vinyl recordings from that time. Now I've ran the casting by my triplet sis', who was the biggest "Bobby" fan of the time and she approves of Luke. Thats good enough for me! ;D Coincidentally John Travolta was my first ever celeb. crush
