Thanks so much Librarian I have been waiting for there to be a bit more info on the project! That sounds really interesting I am really looking forward to getting to see the movie. At last the did Owen co-write question has been fully answered which is good because so many places said he did and so many said he didn't. I'm also looking forward to that ad - "shrunk jeans" - sounds very very good to me

Great article thanks! This sounds like it will be a really interesting movie, a few quirks and twists and turns. Not some formulaic yawn! Luke as Mr happy and Owen as Mr Nasty!!! I can't wait. I think it will be something special

I was glad to have the opportunity to read the LA Times article, Thanks Lib... What they say about the rivers being green is true. We went through the Wemberly area last spring and Pollyanna is always quick to add that I should start a thread talking about the Texas Hill Country. I am working on it girls...trying to "formulate" Alex Sheldon style is tough, even when you're not hanging upside down from a third story window. I am interested in this "DDirector of Secret Operations" though. Is that just a fancy name for the keg runner? I think that Uncle Joe sounds like a hellraiser worth checking out. Luke commented on him during the A&E DVD commentary as well. Given this family's gene pool and propensity for producing prime cuts...maybe we ought to find an avatar of Uncle Joe in just jeans and a tool belt and stick him on the new face of the boards It seems like we've got just about all the family covered, including the dogs!! Given that construction background -whether he comes with a Wilson warning label or a mid-life paunch might just be a mystery worth delving into...

Hey HT no pressure - I'm not going to smash you phone or your television - promise! I know it can take time to find your muse Here is a little story I found written by an extra on The Wendell Baker Story it is quite long and detailed so I'll just post the link. I found it gave an interesting insight into the process and that although he didn't get up close & personal with Luke and Andrew he worked closely enough with them (lucky guy!) to get a good impression Click Here for the story

Thank you Librarian and Pollyanna for the articles, they are great! I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait for this movie!!! At last the did Owen co-write question has been fully answered which is good because so many places said he did and so many said he didn't. I still didn't get whether Owen co-wrote it or not...(English is not my first language, that's why ) I guessed that Owen didn't, am I right Polly?

Great find, Pollyanna I always love to hear non-industry folks talk about their impressions of a movie set and the stars.

I still didn't get whether Owen co-wrote it or not...(English is not my first language, that's why ) I guessed that Owen didn't, am I right Polly? I think from the article that the script is Lukes. They talk about when he started writing it during My dog Skip and then about him selling his first script his own way. Kris Kristofferson says it was one of the best scripts he'd seen and then they mention that only a few changes were made to the script during the six week shoot. The guy writing the article seems to have spoken directly with Luke to get his information and there is nothing there to suggest anything but a solo effort and nothing to suggest Owen had enough input for a co-writing credit even if he was the one who made the few changes. Owen made quite a few changes in Shanghai Noon for example but he didn't get a writing credit. So yeah lol that's what I took from it - that the script is Lukes ;D I'd love them to do something together one day though

I must have gone nutty! I looked at that link when it was first posted and somehow missed the article all-together. I was like, what is everyone talking about? Great article, I'm so happy to hear some new news about TWBS. I can't wait to see it, and I'm so pleased for Luke that his script is getting a lot of praise. Definitely feeling you girls when you say you like the sound of Luke in jeans leaning against a truck The extra's story was neat too. I like how he says the Wilson's made him feel included even though he was just an extra. Such lovely people ;D

Thank you Pollyanna! It's all clear to me now. I had thought, when Owen's name popped up on IMDb as co-writer, maybe Owen started contributing to the script once the shooting started, just like he did in Shanghai Noon, Zoolander, etc. because it popped up as soon as the shooting started. But like you said, in this article it looks like Owen didn't do much or possibly any. I read somewhere Luke saying Owen had been telling him to write a script for a long time. AHHH...Owen I wonder when Owen actually saw the script for the first time. Was he always seeing it while Luke was writing it? or did he see it after the script has been completed? Such an Owen girl I am, I can't stop thinking about these sort of things. Thank you Luke for the whole project of TWBS!!! And Polly, I'd love them to do something together one day too!

I am curious about those details too Bunny ;D Hopefully when the movie comes out we will get more information on exactly how everything happened. I hope so! Luke might have shown the script to Owen as he was writing it but a lot of people who write don't like to show anything to anyone till it's done. I would think - totally guessing here - that Luke would have at the very least shown it to Owen before he tried to sell it to get his opinion and stuff cos they are very close - I can imagine Owen and Andrew would have been the first to read it ;D

AHHHHH Owen...... I don't know why but the imagination of Owen talking to Luke at home always melts me down...... ahhhhhhh ahhhhhhh Owen and Andrew must have been the first people to read Luke's script, Polly! Luke must have wanted to know what Owen and Andrew think. I can't imagine them never talking about the script while Luke was writing it either. They're the Wilsons.
