I haven't heard anything recent about production. Does anybody have any updates on whats going on?

I popped into wesanderson.org a few days back and it basically said its still filming. But a blurb put up on the sites news section back in september said its going to be shooting for a long time: "Filming of The Life Aquatic begins on Tuesday in ROME. The shoot is going to be incredibly long (it's scheduled to shoot through January!) and will include several on site locations throughout Italy, including Rome and Florence"  |

Thanks Meribeth  I am really looking forward to this movie but I feel a bit nervous lol too I have complete faith in Wes of course! BUT it seems such a departure and I too, am struggling to imagine what the finished result might be like. Guess Wes is gonna really surprise us in a really good way |

I didn't know where to put this! because I think the most interesting news from this little piece, which is from the current Entertainment weekly is that Luke has at least a cameo in TLA Yay!!! Luke!!! There are no details but clearly the pic is from the set and I'm assuming Luke and Bill aren't dressed the same cos they shop at the same store or anything LOL - so Luke is gonna be in it which is so cool - cos Luke has been in all of Wes' Pictures and it just wouldn't be the same without him   |

Are you saying that that's Luke in the pic?? I think it's Owen. Check out the watch, it's on the left hand. Owen wears his watch on his left, Luke on the right. |

Whoops lol the directory I got it from said it was Luke and Bill Murray and as the pic is pretty fuzzy and the nose didn't look right for Owen I just assumed it was Luke. The hair doesn't look that Blonde (not that you can see much) and also Luke was in Italy so - I was hoping Luke had done some little role! oh well false alarm I guess. darn  |

Sorry Polly! Didn't mean to ruin the fun I just can't see Luke in that pic at all. Would be great if he does do a cameo though.

don't be sorry! I'm just glad you picked it up! I have had another squint at the pic and you are soo right it is soo Owen Please forgive me Owen for thinking you were Luke  It's not Luke's jaw D'oh. Think it was a case of wishful thinking. I do so hope Luke is in the movie even if its just a little part! |

Thanks for the article K I was thinking the same thing HT!! His new girlfriend Tara something, the fashion designer must have given him a makeover a case of "fair eye for the straight guy" I love the quote from Owen about how you have to live a little you can't be a tire kicker your whole life! Cool pilosophy As for the pic of Owen in the towel!!! What can I say - when I was little I wanted to be a ballerina, then I wanted to be a doctor, then I wanted to be a writer but it is only now that I have finally worked out what I really want to be - that towel!!!!!! |
