OMG-is that really true??? I'm totally shocked!!Yes,I had a little crush on him too and Dirty Dancing still is my most-watched-movie of all times! What I also really liked was the "North & South" TV-Series. Oh please....this is sooooo sad!!! I have a penfriend who is crazy about him for over 20 years-she has a whole room(!!!) filled with Patrick-stuff and she met him last year in London when he did a play there-what must she feel now.....

Yes, and wasn't it him with Demi Moore in Ghost?
This is so sad. I feel such compassion for him and his loved ones, bless them.
This is the same cancer that took the life of Michael Landon in the same short amount of time; it metastasized to his liver.

UPDATE: His rep issued this statement to TMZ, "Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick's physician Dr. George Fisher states, 'Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.' Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family." www.tmz.com/2008/03/05/confirmed-patrick-swayze-has-cancer/Pancreatic Cancer is probably one of the worst, but it good to read he's responding well to the treatment.

Pancreatic cancer has a dismal five-year survival rate, but I'm glad to see the news is not as grim as had been earlier reported. It's uplifting that Patrick is well enough - or determined enough - to continue to work.

I hate it when this happens...someone you know, someone whom you know is doing well all of a sudden falls sick and the next thing you know is.....
I just hope this doesn't happen with patrick. I hope that he and his family are able to come out of this dark shadow that has fallen over them.
