Hi Jenny, yeah it was good It gave me tears sometimes but it was not just a tearjerker. It had more to it. It portrayed the families' lives over 5 years. While it was one hardship after another for each family, there were moments of simple joy and delight at seeing the children grow up, just like in any family. As they got older some of them began to realise they were "different". The children were straight in expressing the pains and worries they felt, yet they were so strikingly hopeful. I think as we get older we learn to be not so hopeful in many things. Although I feel we do need to learn that, seeing those children reminded me of the simple eagerness to pursue happiness and joy in life without being afraid of possibly getting disappointed when things don't go as hoped.

Oh Jenny, I am not a lovely person...I am just awfully fond of pondering things such as happiness, joy, life...and talking about them But thank you Jenny! And I hope the series will be repeated so that you can watch it!

Now then Bunny don't say that you're not lovely 'cos YOU ARE OK!! (said in my most forceful but nice voice).
If you're going to ponder anything then happiness, joy and life are pretty good things to be thinking about!!
By the way I love the quote by Charles Dickens in your siggy.

I was wondering if anyone here has been watching Rock Star INXS. I managed to get hooked on it. There are some really good singers & I've always loved INXS. No one can ever take Michael Hutchence's place though for me.

Does anybody watch "Lost"? I had not been able to watch it when it first started, then I didn't want to start watching it halfway through. Anyway, I have watched the whole first season on DVD and I freakin' LOVE this show! It's really great! And Josh Holloway just makes it even better. He has the best smile and dimples. And Matthew Fox is hot too.

I can't wait for the season opener of "Lost." A good time to unplug our telephones for an hour. Just one week away - same day as Luke's birthday!
I didn't get to see all the Losts either last season because I had a class that met on Wednesday nights. I saw just enough episodes to know what was basically happening.
Looks like there are some Lost-inspired new shows to begin this month such as "Invasion." The trailers all look intriguing. I just hope they'll have something unique about them, that they won't be just "Lost" duplicates.

And Matthew Fox is hot too. I love "Lost"! It is my favorite show from last season - actually, it's the only new show from last fall season that I watch. I watch "Grey's Anatomy" too - but that started in the spring. I think Matthew Fox is a hottie! I've heard repeatedly that the character of Jack was originally supposed to be killed-off in episode one - but that was changed --- thank goodness!!!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I saw a new show last night called "Bones" that was very good! It's on the FOX network --- check your local listings - I recommed it. As a bonus it stars David Boreanaz (best known from his former role as the title character on "Angel"). What can I say? - some eye candy can certainly enhance an already interesting show! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- One thing I'm not too happy about: I missed the season premiere last week of a new show entitled "Reunion". It looked really good - and I missed it. I HATE starting a show after the first one has aired. Big bummer! Here is a link describing all the new fall tv shows: www.accessatlanta.com/entertainment/content/entertainment/tv/0805/31tvfallshows.html?imw=Y

Tequi, I watched "Bones" too, and then "House."
Looks like TV has interesting shows to offer again finally. But for a few oases, TV used to be pretty much a desert.

I saw the beginning of "Reunion". It was sorta boring so I changed the channel. I may not have watched it long enough, though. One of the lead characters, Craig, is played by an actor who was in "Life As We Know It", which was a really good show. It actually pulled me away from "The OC" last season. I was so hoping "Reunion" would be good. Danee, is the second season of "Lost" starting there already? Did y'all see the MadTV preview with the spoof on "Lost". Good grief! That reminds me... the MadTV tonight is supposed to have a spoof about "a movie about weddings". I wonder if that is "Wedding Crashers" or "The Wedding Date" or, God forbid, "The Wedding Planner". I think Josh Meyers is gone (the one that did the Owen impersonation). But, I'm still going to try to tune in and see what the deal is. Sorry, I went off on a tangent!
