What Lies Beneath WAS really good! I forgot to mention that earlier. Harrison Ford was outstanding in that movie! I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't seen it, so I'll say no more.
Aliens was one of the most suspenseful movies I had ever seen (up until that point). I never saw Alien entirely until after I saw the second version. Most of the first version I saw was on TV (edited), so it wasn't that scary to me.
The Shining scared me too! What IS it about bathrooms and hallways?? There always seems to be a scene in scary movies that includes one or both of them!

If you guys want to see a scary movie you need to watch the Ring. That movie scared the living daylights out of me. I was afraid to turn my back on the television in my room, but I was also afraid to look at it. There's this one part, at the end, when I realized that it was a VERY VERY bad mistake for myself and my friends to have sat in the front row. Watch it and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Well I love movies so I guess that I am always happy with them. I am a producer's dream. Some of the movies I have seen recently are: Raising Helen Shrek 2 Spiderman 2 Dodgeball Anchorman I, Robot Chronicles of Riddick I thought all of them were good...though Chronicles could have had a better plot.

I'd have to be drunk before I saw "The Ring". That just seems way too scary for my liking. Many people have said it is one of the scariest movies they've seen in a while. Although, one of those people was my one friend who thought that the Stephen King mini-series "Rose Red" was scary. I didn't think it was that scary at all. So, I guess I should never say never. But, I doubt I'll be seeing "The Ring" anytime soon. I'd prefer to be one of the majority of adults that don't sleep with lights on and covers over their head!

I've never met anyone who saw the Ring who said it wasn't the scariest thing they'd seen in a long time.
The Village (about to open) looks like a must to avoid for the same reason. If anyone sees it, I'll be interested to read their comments.

The Ring is by far the scariest movie that I have ever seen. It thoroughly freaked me out. The only other movie to ever scare me that bad was It and I was 10 when I saw that.

"The Village" does look interesting. Although, they've been advertising it to death! I've seen the trailer just about everytime I've gone to the movies this year - including when I saw "Cold Mountain" back in January. When I first saw it, I didn't think it looked remotely interesting. Now I want to see it - so maybe I'm a victim of clever marketing ploys?! Hmmmm. I'll probably see it when it comes out on video - that way I won't experience the extra scare potential of seeing in on a big movie screen, and away from the comfort & security of my family room sofa.

I'll be seeing The Village when it comes out! I love M. Night movies! I have seen scarier movies than The Ring. The Exorcist for one! As an adult, Event Horizon tops my list as the scariest movie I've ever seen. It's been about 7 years since I've seen it. I think I need to watch it again just to make sure it's still scary. ;D

Never have been able to handle fright flicks-- The ones that frighten emotionally are the worst for me and the ultimate was The Omen. Went to see this classic at the student union with a college roomate and we should have been omenized when the guy checking school IDs hasseled Peg. She had recently lost her school ID and had to have a new one made-she didn't have the correct validation on the card, but he let us in anyway. That film freaked me out and we walked home in a catatonic state, just waiting for the black dogs to jump us. Next day when Peg and I went to the admissions office to get the validation sticker for her ID, wouldn't ya know her number was- 666....

My sister and I LOVE to watch scary movies!! We've probably seen them all! We even light candles and watch them in the dark.
"The Ring" did make me jumpy. One time we were watching it and the phone rang! Too spooky.
Have you guys ever seen "Black Christmas?" There's a scary movie for you!
We will be seeing "The Village." I'll give you my review!

Recently I loved "Dogville". I am wanting to watch "Elephant" now.

Remi--"Black Christmas" is too hard for me to explain, so I just copied the main plot from the imdb. "This 98-minute film is a stark and stylish horror/thriller that turns everyone's favorite time of the year inside out. Olivia Hussey and Margot Kidder star among an ill-fated houseful of sorority sisters celebrating the holiday season. Festivities turn fatal when obscene phone calls break the serenity and it becomes clear that a psychopath is stalking the house." P.S. The killer is making the phone calls from INSIDE the house! This movie was made in 1974 and it is very creepy. I saw it for the first time back in high school at a friend's house and then I ran across it again a few year's ago. My sister and I enjoyed it so much that we got the DVD. I do plan on going to see "The Village" this weekend. So far I haven't heard many good reviews. We'll see, I guess. I saw "The Bourne Supremacy" last weekend. I didn't really care for it either. The first one was MUCH better! Happy movie watching this weekend! If you watch anything scary, don't forget to check under your bed before you go to sleep!
