It's never a problem to praise someone when it's deserved HT! Your birthday's coming up soon, hope you're planning something exciting with the the Irish icon LOL Wilson Freak, I'll try out the test now. It looks like a good site! WF, I got 8 out of 11 on the test! My poem got lost I think because there's no "Ireland' on the country list so my address came up UK. Couldn't find my name then to see my poem. ViS

:-*Yay Vis!!! 8 out of 11 is wonderful! Did you go to university for English or anything like that? I didn't, but English has always been my most favorite subject! (p.s. I couldn't find my poem either)

No WF, I just did English at school, I did better in the Irish language in my final exams. But I love English, been writing for years. I'm doing a course now with English literature on it. I want to go on to do a degree in English and Film Studies,or an Arts degree. I got the metaphor one wrong!BTW.

???Was the metaphor one about the cement truck and the hardened criminals? That one I got wrong, I never even made the connection!! But it was a fun quiz. Can't remember what other ones I got wrong...........let me check........brb.............oh yeah, I did the wrong line to end the poem in number 3.................I didn't like theirs!!! It didn't seem to flow! Got number 5 wrong, although the answer did say that the one I picked was very close, I picked the one for the END of the word instead of the beginning. How does that compare to the 3 you got wrong? ? I think you got number 8 wrong???

I got that metaphor thing wrong, but it was an Oscar Wilde poem they were in. Actually it was a poem full of similies and I thought they were metpahors. I got the last line of their unfinished poem right. I think I also got the opposite of a word wrong. I thought it was a word meaning the same. Oh and the one about what a poem should have in it, rhyme, metre, etc. I said metre, they said none of those things were essential. I've liked the site, but why does the poem thing not work? Where are you based?

Based? You mean where do I live? I'm in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. It always seems like the boards I belong to are mostly Americans, with only a few Canadians!! ;D

"Aw comon!" WF, I live in Australia and I am further away from you. *hugs* Don't worry, the Americans don't own the boards. They are really lovely people and share it with foreigners! ;D If anyone is going to be out of place, it shouldn't be Canadians. I believe that you are lovely people.
Hm? I wonder how many Australians are on the board? Less than Canadians. Don't worry we still love ya! *wink* Think of Turwaith in Germany, Venus in Ireland and BP in England. Smile! *big hugs again*
Oops! I almost said my name.......................

WF, There was a link to Canada on the "country" section, so maybe the poem thing just doesn't work, full stop.

Hi HT, I adore your writing. Please write a book so that I can read it. You have a way with words and have a lot of knowledge and wisdom. I don't even know what a metaphor is. Hence I didn't dare take that test. I would have scored very low.
I can only dream and use my imagination a bit but you are truly a writer. I will be good to hear some more stories. ;D
I don't come in here often at all. This may be my 2nd or 3rd time only but I find your writing intriguing. Good grief, I can't even spell properly.
You are one extremely intelligent and caring lady. I hope to read some more one day.
