Furg, when I had a similar problem a couple of years ago, it was fixed when I went to Tools --> Internet Options and then clicked on Delete Files. I am not sure it will work on Vista though. Let us know if this one and Lom's suggestion don't work.

When I am NOT logged in I can see some pictures, and when I am logged in I absolutley cannot see any, on either home, mobile or work pc!  |

I wonder if its a setting linked to your account then? but what? hmmm... do you have some kind of internet security program running? where pictures are, that aren't showing, is there any kind of warning or message indicating why its not showing (like perhaps it thinks loading images that are originally from external sites are dodgy)... I don't know really, just a thought...

Ok, ...I log in fine..then when I post a message and press reply/presto (whatever it says) the message doesn't show up and I am logged out. Only after deleting cookies, cache..etc can I finally post the message. 'Tis very frustrating I can tell you. #stampfeet#
Tried changing my avatar and accidentally clicked on Libs...it will not change back to the one I want...cannot upload my Italian Vogue one of Nats original scans or adopt a new one from the drop down list. Not that I have anything against Libs...but I fear I'll be treated like a parasitic twin! #lol#
So my question is...what the hell am I doing wrong, bearing in mind the kids primarily use the computer, what are they doing, ha?

Hi Golf Widow (a new name!), I think I managed to change your avatar. I had to delete what was in the "Avatar URL" box and then select one from the "Avatar" drop-down list (then when I clicked on "Modify Profile", the URL of the photo I chose from the list automatically filled in the "Avatar URL" box). I think if you select "none" on the drop-down list and then paste the URL of the photo you want to use into the "Avatar URL" box, it will probably work and you will be able to use the exact photo you want. Could you try that?
I don't have a clue about the problem of it logging you out when you try to post. Do you know what to do, Nat, Remi, Lib?

Hi Golf Widow (a new name!), Normal service will resume after the golf tournament...unless the squirell wins! I think I managed to change your avatar. That's what I've been trying since Saturday, was a few days with no avatar at all...then Libs, then sexy Luke all chest hair and smouldering  (courtesy of you) but nothing from this end since! Not unless you see it. Just downloaded Firefox and no longer getting logged out when I post, but also closed the firewall down...'tis too important a week not too!  |

The link has to be the URL next to "Direct Link" on Photobucket in order for it to work. Is it possible that when you copied & pasted a URL into the "Avatar URL" box, you used the one next to "Share URL" or "Email & IM" on Photobucket? If so, could you try using the one next to "Direct Link" (which is the middle one) and see if it works? |

There's something fishy going on here...Every time I visit any thread, the homepage appears momnts after the page gets loaded. #dontknow#. I've been using the stop button, so I'm not sure if this is still happeneing, although I do know sld is facing the same problem...what's the answer? Why are we I-inhabitants (Illinois, India) facing this?

Which browser do you use and what is the version of your browser? Some older browsers like IE6 might have problems with all the javascript on this forum. I use FireFox.
