Not sure where my post has gone asking if anyone could help me work out why the heck I couldn't sign in "for real" using a pda or mobile phone? Anyhoo, doesn't matter anymore...Ha! Answer: You have to be logged into a Mobile network and NOT WAP (like moi). Also checking the on line forever box seems to encourage it to work, according to the proboards chaps.  |

Well... I haven't gotten notifications for awhile now. I get them if I've made a recent post in that thread, but otherwise no. I'm assuming it's because I'm not here as often as I used to be, but it still doesn't make sense. You'd think once I mark all forums as read I'd get notifications for all threads again, but no.

Yes Remi. You have to go back in and set them up again. I don't notify myself on threads, but I do with PMs. Just go back into the preferences to set the PM ones back up again.
I don't know about the thread notifications though.

Thank you Natalie! I now have carpel tunnel syndrome from checking and selecting email notifications on my zillions of bookmarks.  I had to re-check the notification for PMs, too! I'm glad you mentioned that! QT - that's weird. You should just have to log in and read the thread in order to get your email notifications. I think your email is correct, but you may want to double check that, too. You'll probably have to go in and select email notifications all over again just like I did anyway. #dontknow# |

A-ha! I knew something was weird when I didn't get any notifications over the weekend. I'm still not getting any today. So I need to go and re-sign up for all those threads? Eeek.  Like QT, if I didn't post for awhile in a particular thread, I stopped getting notifications. I had to go back and re-sign up to several threads a few months ago. I thought it was because I hadn't been posting that much. Beth |

I cannot see pictures posted on this site from my home computer since I upgraded to Vista. The only pics I can view from home is the banner pic and some smilies. Oh and it's only this site it's happening on, i can see pictures everywhere else on the 'net.
Apart from dumping Vista, any advice?

Are you using IE? if so, have you tried viewing the forums on a different browser? when I was using my Vista laptop (which ive now given up on and am hoping to get it sent back to be fixed when I take it back to the shop I got it from in a few days *grr*), I couldn't get any flash videos to show on IE at all, so I couldnt view any .flv/flash videos on YouTube or elsewhere... anyway I installed Firefox and tried viewing them on there and it worked fine... IE sucks... |
