I can't view the clip Remi, could you torture me slowly with a description of shexy Luke Wilson. #devil# Umm... well... he's all scruffy and has real bad teeth. He says "Need it bad enough to die?" He looks very similar to Christian's character to me. BTW, funny you should mention "torture". (Are you sure you can't see it? )

I think I found a very quick clip with Luke! Please don't watch it if you want to be surprised!! This appears to be a very dark character, which I think is awesome for him! Click Here and click on Clip 5, and don't blink. ;D Oh man, he's a badass with crappy teeth. I love it! Beth

King Orba has some photos of himself and Luke during filming on his MySpace! Click Here (I don't know if it's ok with him to post them, so I'll just leave them there.)

I read on the IMDB that people were laughing and were saying WTF when Luke came on screen. They were saying he didn't belong. I have to admit, that it was a bit strange to see Luke up there with Christian Bale (who I'm always in awe of, his talent, and he's hot! lmao) and Russell Crowe and Peter Fonda, but my feeling was, "Wow!! Luke rocks!! He really was GREAT against these guys and worked the scene so well." I hope Luke realizes that he has the chops to do these types of roles... Not that I don't want him doing Frat Pack movies, because I LOVE those. #lol# I'm just really glad that Luke is showing his range as an actor!

I read on the IMDB that people were laughing and were saying WTF when Luke came on screen. They were saying he didn't belong. Those IMDB people are such bastids. Bastids I tell you! Nah, they're just stating their opinion I guess........however twisted and warped they may be......free country and all that....yadda yadda yadda...... ;D I'm just really glad that Luke is showing his range as an actor! I want to see him in more movies like this too---even if it means a small role. Better a small part in a good movie than a big part in a crappy movie........uh, like the Jessica Simpson movie that thankfully is going straight-to-dvd. Luke is capable of great things.....The Royal Tenenbaums, Bottle Rocket, Bongwater, The Bad Seed......those were great roles in my opinion. He does 'funny' really well, but I must say I prefer his dark/angsty stuff. I rented Blades of Glory last weekend and was pleasantly surprised to see him in a cameo. I had no idea he was in that movie.......I totally fell down on the job on that one. Shame on me. Beth

Luke has to show the rest of the world what he's capable of. #wink#

OMG! I saw this yesterday. I had such high expectations because of all I'd read about it. I was NOT disappointed. This movie was soooo good. I'd say it was RIVETTING.
Luke was super. He was believable in that western garb as were all the others. I agree he is capable of so much more than what he's sometimes been given.
Whenever I see movies like this, I always wonder if there's any truth to them. After a short net research, I couldn't find anything about the plot that was historically true. I do sometimes look for trivia and found this about the town of Contention which I've cut & pasted:
"Contention City is a ghost town in Cochise County in the southeastern part of Arizona. Only a few foundations now remain of this boomtown which was active in the days of the early 1880s silver mining. The town derived its name from a silver mining claim over which there was unusual rivalry among the claimants. Contention City now sits in the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area. Hikers can view the townsite easily along the river just north of the Fairbanks ghost town. The town is mentioned in the 1957 western 3:10 to Yuma and is the setting for the finale of its 2007 remake."
Also, the Bisbee in the movie doesn't look anything like the real Bisbee. Bisbee is on a loooonnnnnggggg steep mountain, not flat like in the movie.
Super great movie!

I think the story was set in Arizona, but they filmed in New Mexico?? Also, it's based on a short story by Elmore Leonard, and it's a remake from the 1957 version.... I really want to see the original!
But wasn't it amazing?? I never once looked at my watch and I destroyed my nails because I was soooo into the movie. And the cinematography was sooo beautiful. I loved the music too! And not to mention, Christian Bale's (and Luke's) hotness. #wink#
