Sorry, I just don't see it. Lindsay Lohan may be in it too? I like Shirley MacLaine, I do. I just can't see her playing Miss Ellie-I think Barbara BelGeddes is rolling over in her grave right now. Still, I may be pleasantly surprised......you never know. I mean, if Ice Cube can play Mr. Kotter in the new Welcome Back Kotter movie....... Beth, feels Hollywood needs to concentrate on making new films instead of re-makes that don't hold a candle to the originals

Beth, feels Hollywood needs to concentrate on making new films instead of re-makes that don't hold a candle to the originals I am excited that someone has decided to charge up a limp Linda Grey and a passive Booby Ewing. If we can entice a spicy Amanda Peet for Pam - then Ooh-la-la... My great respect to Larry Hagman (a wondrous villian) and endless character credits to the remarkable Barbara Bel Geddes. I wish I could be unhappy, but on the bright side, I think a great script writer could re-work unique southern magic. The talents of a Travoltage, the sassy McClain and a laid back yet intelligent Bobby could give this vehicle a a real go. If Luke can work this Ewing ensemble cast as well he did his Family Stone- I have great hope. HurlT ;D- Willing to hold the wary Beth's hand at the premiere and buy her a Margarita at the Dallas/Fort Worth airport to forget the Texas trauma if it's a total BUST... ;D

I can see Luke as Bobby, but definitely not Owen. I can't even see him thinking of taking the role. Owen, I mean, not Luke. Travolta I think would be good. Lopez? Hmmmmm. As with all things Hollywood, casting is never sure until the actors sign on the dotted line so we'll just have to wait and see.

I heard on the radio that it isn't a given that Dallas will be filmed in Dallas! Can you imagine?? Dallas is doing everything it can to entice the filming to be done there. But the jury is still out, apparently.

Personally, I can see why Luke and Owen would be considering it... I mean, look at how brilliant the last movie that Owen made with JLo was. ;D I actually kind of liked Anaconda (in a cheesy sort of way). Jon Voight really chewed up the scenery.

They just keep giving me more reasons why this movie shouldn't be made... Agreed. Plus, I keep getting Google alerts that alternate Luke and Owen for the role of Bobby. One day one Google alert will say its Luke. The next one will say its Owen. Jeesh.Beth

Betty Thomas directed I Spy with Owen and I don't think Owen and Betty saw eye two eye very often. Another reason not to make the movie. Hear that Luke?

Jeesh.Beth "People" magazine is reporting the same news with Luke being possible for the Bobby role (as opposed to Owen), so that's what I'm going to stick with... for now.

Well I accidentally had his old phone number, let me tell you he gets pretty cranky when a stranger calls him outta the blue. How he'll react when someone tells him to ignore a big fat pay cheque is anyone's business, I'm guessing it won't be civil. Ya see the guy has a tonne of second hand clothes he's gotta keep in tip top condition...that costs a lot of bucks. Modified to add..J/K ;D

I saw Luke on Extra last night, and he said it's almost a done deal that he will be playing Bobby in Dallas. They interviewed him at the Hoot premiere.
