I know what you mean, Angie. He is so natural and relaxed in this film.

Yes, it is very nice isn't it? You can hardly hear the people asking the questions, but we don't care do we? Not a gambler. Go figure.

Thanks Lib! I enjoyed that very much. I loved hearing him use the f-word. He seems so proud of Masked and Anonymous and I love how he said that it was one of the greatest experiences of his life working with Dylan and that he doesn't care if the critics like the movie or not. Although you can't hear all of the reporters' questions due to the sound, you can hear Luke breathing. ;D I also thought it was funny that he thought he might be annoying people by having so many movies out at one time. Thanks again! Beth

I thought it was hilarious that Kate made him "uncomfortable" and that he said as much. Even ended the interview.

Bumping this thread because I happened to watch Paris When It Sizzles last night. It was shown on TCM. This 1964 film starring William Holden and Audrey Hepburn has got to be the model for Alex And Emma.
It's the same plot: writer (in the 1964 film it's a screenwriter) hires home secretary (Audrey Hepburn) to type his dictation for him. They act out the plot and discuss it just as Alex and Emma did. They end up falling in love (of course) and, at the end, want to remake the screenplay they just finished.
Oh, and there's an Alex character in this one too.
At the time of Alex And Emma's release, I don't remember if comparisons were made to Paris When It Sizzles. But the similarities are so obvious it's hard to imagine film critics didn't notice.

This is probably too late and I don't know how many Brits frequent here but this movie is currently being shown on Channel 5 (aka Five) here in Britain, incase anyone else British is around and might want to go watch... (and if anyone misses it, I wonder if they might repeat it on Five US (cable channel in Britain) later in the week perhaps? im not sure if they repeat films shown on the main channel later on the Five US channel(?))

I have the DVD and the commentary is great. Its Luke and Rob Reiner. The part near the end where Kate's character gets mad at Luke....well that day Kate was really mad at Luke and Rob told her to use it in the scene. They never did say what Luke did to annoy her
