I just read the following on the Wilson-Brothers site. Yippee!! Legally Blonde 3: Moviehole indicates the third comedy is prepping now and Luke Wilson's role will be expanded.

I find this news exciting- especially if the premise would be patterned after the Hepburn/Tracy classic Adam's Rib. Somehow a courtroom match and stand off between Elle and Emmett would create alot of opportunity for humor, sparks, and a message about relationships. Much better than LB2 chihuahua's parentage storyline... Who thought that would fly??

That is brilliant HT! Spencer and Hepburn! Emmett just doesn't need more screen time - he needs to be part of the storyline this time.

I love your storyline, too, HT!! I watched parts of LB2 last night. If Luke isn't in the scene, I don't pay any attention to this movie. At least LB1 was cute and fun to watch (at least I thought so), but #2 just didn't do it for me. I love the look Luke gets on his face when Elle is just about to head to Washington and Paulette mentions that "Dolly Madison" was her grandmother's stripper name! (Or something like that!) His look is priceless and oh so easy to love!

Has anyone heard anything new about LB3? Are they still doing it? That post on the wilson-brothers site is a little old.

Lukesgirl, this is the only reference to LB3 I've seen: www.moviehole.net/news/3417.htmlModified to add -- I just realized that you posted this originally back in March. So it's come full circle I don't think there is any current news.

I can't remember where I read it or heard it, but I thought it's no longer going to happen. And, I heard something about doing a "Legally Blonde" series on TV instead--without Reese and Luke, of course. (But maybe Reese was going to be the producer.)
Anyone else hear this?

I have recently watched both Legally Blonde 1 & 2. This "franchise" needs to elevate Elle's intellectual standing and give her a worthy opponent. For those who have not seen the Hepburn/Tracy classic, it is a magnificent springboard to a great storyline that includes marital rivalry. Very romantic and based on genuine intelligence and two partner's foolish pride. A tried and true winning combination in romantic film-making... HurlT ;D
