I just wanted to let all of you know that "Best Men" is playing on one of the Showtime channels right now. I caught part of it last night, and I think it will be on again today--maybe 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. central time. (This might be wrong--check your local listings!)
It's always great to find a Luke movie while channel surfing!

I caught some of it as well last night. He was so young! And Drew is really pretty in that movie.

Bought Best Men last week in a WalMart bargain bin for $4...
My heart just melted at the end when Luke chases after his child and snuggles and bonds. How appealing and indicative of what his future could hold. HT

HT--that's exactly why I purchased the DVD after I rented it for the first time. I love that scene, too! What a natural he is with that child. He'll make a great dad! Sigh!

I agree, Luke will defiantely make a great dad and a great husband. I was at Walmart and they had this bin filled with dvds that they were selling for about five dollars (I forgot exactly how much). I looked through it for a while but there were just too many to look through. And as I was about to leave, my dad had tossed some dvds aside to get to the one that he wanted and guess which one I saw........yup, Best Men! I grabbed it fast, LOL! God bless, Audra LW Rox!

Another movie ticked off the list...just watched Best Men. Basically Luke reprises Anthony from Bottle Rocket, but without the swimming pool scene....sadly. I liked the film it held my attention, loved all the Shakespearean quotes dotted throughout the film... Sean Patrick Flannery was very much up to the task of Hamlet IMHO....he delivered all of his lines beautifully. Andy di*k, the unhappily married guy who gets carted off early on in the film because of a gunshot wound, was'nt he the BJ teacher.. in "Old School"? The scene at the end with the kid...why did'nt they cast a child with dark hair, it would have been more believable? I was having a look through the credits to see who the rug rat actually belonged to. I wondered if he belonged to the producer/director or something? I liked it and even all though it was a character of Lukes I've seen before he still seemed fresh...do you know what I mean...up for it? Oh and there was'nt very much forehead/Shorty and Kevin acting either. Have you noticed he does'nt do that much in his early films? I think I prefer this style.

I got to finally watch this last night-I wish I had found one at Wal-Mart for $5-I got mine from Amazon. Oh well.... I enjoyed it so that's all that matters. ;)I like Andy di*k very much so it was good to see him and I thought Luke and Drew were very natural together. I loved the scene on the bus toward the end when he was crying and she was wiping his tears away. Awwww....so very intimate. I think that I read somewhere that they had met on this movie but didn't date until Home Fries so this was some nice foreshadowing... ;)I also liked the whole "how did you keep from getting buttf*cked in prison?" scene....I thought that Luke was funny as hell in that scene. I'm not a big Dean Cain fan but I enjoyed his performance very much in this movie. I also enjoyed Sean Patrick Flannery's performance-the few hits that he took from Luke in the bank looked pretty real-ouch. Such a sad character and he pulled it off well. I loved that Jess and Hope named their baby Sol after their friend-and Luke looked damn adorable holding the baby and snuggling him-he rubbed his nose on his cheek at one point-too cute. Two thumbs up from me. Beth

:-/Speaking of Luke and babies, I bet you that Owen and Luke and Andrew run around with little Joey in their arms so that he can join in the football game!! It just seems so totally like something they would do with their little nephew!! It's sweet to think about! Men and babies - that's the way to a woman's heart!!!

We have four Wal-marts where I live and they have tons of this dvd in the $5.50 bin, that's where I got mine. It's really not bad, I also got a copy of Soul Survivors (which I didn't care for) and Home Fries from that bin. It's a only a few dollars more than renting it and I get to keep it.
So go to Wal-mart ladies and dig, dig, dig, through that bin! Do it for Luke!!!
;D

I found Best Men and Home Fries for $5.99 each at Best Buy the other day. Just some info for those of you who don't have a Walmart nearby (for whatever reason) or those who couldn't find either DVD at Walmart...

OK, this is a little off topic, but do we know how old Joey is now?

The last interview I read, about a couple months ago, was one where the reporter was in Owen's house and he said that little Joey came up and climbed on his chair and was smiling at him, and then just as Owen was coming downstairs that Joey started to cry and the reporter was so mortified! He said that Joey was 4. He also said that Joey was very friendly and not afraid to make friends with anyone who came to visit with his uncles. So cute!!

I remember reading that interview a long time ago. It was probably about 2 years ago, but I don't remember the date of the interview, so it could be older than that. That would put Joey at least at six. Maybe someone can find the interview again and see if there's a date?
