Luke was very funny on Leno! And looking very good. You could tell he was nervous... He blamed it on Leno - told the Bartles & James story again. And said it "set the tone" for all future talk shows. He's always wary of the host. They had a good laugh. Some funny stories about filming scenes that take place over one evening for 2 months... trying to keep up the intensity, he and the director would take turns hitting each other's knees. He said Kate would look on baffled at what they were doing. I am obviously not relating it well. I hope someone uploads it to youtube. A comedian that used to work on the Leno show was on after Luke and she kept referring to Luke and Owen throughout her stories. She said that she imagined Luke and his brothers' holiday parties including a stripper pole and women with pasties. Luke joked that he was glad she thought so highly of them. She seemed to be into Luke - she even joked about it at first.

Sounds fab Lib. Remind me, what is the Bartles and James story? Oh and more importantly, how the heck did he look?
Edited to add: Found it on youtube, it's all very clear now.

Said she was going to get Luke on her new show and he seemed to like the idea. And he was very funny on Ellen. I thought more so than on Leno. He talked about going to a screening of Vacancy with Andrew and how during the movie he looked at Andrew and he was watching it with his hand over his face. ;D And without giving too much away, he mentioned that there were rats on the set. One day he showed up to the set and saw a truckfull of rats and asked where the rats were going, wondering which movie they were working on. Then he said that the rats had a handler... and that he looked how you would imagine a rat handler to look.

On Leno I loved his story about Mr Wilson wanting all the boys to go to Dartmouth as he had and tried really hard with Andrew, attempted with Owen and didn't even bring it up with Luke. I also loved the story about the tabloid rags always comparing Luke's and Owen's bodies. He said that Owen always wins by a large majority - Owen gets 77% and I get 11%... but what gets him is the 11% that doesn't even vote. He said that is the group he wants to win over.

Furg, Bartles & Jaymes is a brand of wine cooler. The TV commercials ran in the 1980's and featured the same two old guys talking about their product. More info here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartles_&_JaymesThanks for the lovely YouTube links, ladies. Loved them!

Did anyone watch/see Luke on the CMT Awards? I haven't watched it yet, but I haven't seen/found any photos of him there either. Was he?

The funny thing is that during the repeat of CMT Luke came on almost at the same time he came out on Leno's stage. I was sweatin' it going back and forth between the channel. I know you can picture it. Luke spoke about Chris' presence on screen in a film honoring him. I think it was about two sentences.

I just watched it a little while ago. Luke wore a black henley(?) under a grey suit with white pinstripes. He looked REALLY skinny to me. His bangs where smoothed back, too. Jimmy brought out the magazine photo of Luke and Pete on the golf course and they made fun of how it said "They are just like us". Luke said he wanted a photo of him in front of a mansion, with a camel, and a car on fire in the background, and have that same caption. Jimmy also brought out the photo of Luke and Woody (from Bruno?) in swimtrunks... it looked like they were taking an outdoors shower together... (once again for Furg - in swim trunks. ) He talked about working with the rats and how he psyched himself up in the mirror to do that. He also told a funny story of how he and Owen went to a dinner with President Clinton, and how Owen excused himself (for a "date", maybe?), and how it appeared as though Clinton was really disappointed that he couldn't go with Owen. Luke just needs a little bit of practice, and he'd have his Clinton imitation nailed. Jimmy started this whole bit off by saying something like "Owen likes to have sex with women, doesn't he?" Luke said "I think Owen likes to 'date' women". Don't forget, the TVLand awards is on Sunday!
