hey there everyone...just a simple question that I'm sure someone (LOL OR ALL) of y'all know....but exactly how do you pronounce her name? To me it looks like it should be pronounced 'Sun-Deese'...but I'm not sure. Anyone know for sure? Thanks!

Remi--I think you're right about the pronunication of Soundis' name. Seems to me that's what I read somewhere when he first started dating her.

Yes, I agree it's pronounced 'soon-DEE.' (One semester of French, and I'm an expert!) ;D
I've never heard of this name before. I'm not sure if it is an authentic French name or a professional name.

Thanks y'all!! I think I had read it misspelled somewhere as 'Sundice' and thats where I got it in my head. I took freakin 4 years of french in high school and college...ya'd think I'd have a clue! LOL but really...the 'dis' of her name could go either way...sometimes in French you would say 'deese'...sometimes 'dee'...it all depends on the word itself AND the word that follows it in a sentence. With the general consensus goin for Soondee...that's what I'll say too

I'm french but i didn't know that Soundis was a name. It is not french. But i would pronounce it Soondee. In french, in a lot of words, we rarely pronouce the S.
In France she is not famous.

I can't believe I am sticking up for this woman and her stange name, but I have had a lifetime of teachers and professors massacre my very French name and stake it out on an ant hill. It got to the point that I didn't even cringe the first day of class anymore. I just fired back- "Yes it's French and No my Kissing is Not" ( at least not on the first date)... I have had store clerks "butcher' the pronunciation so bad at times, that you could wrap it up and sell it at the local meat market. HurlT

I found an interview with Soundis on the web. That was Beginner French?? Man, oh man, my High School French Teacher would be very dissappointed with me! I thought I heard Soundis mention something about fish! Thanks for the links Lib!! You rock!
