I had never seen this before - some of the questions are similar to the E-online. Here's a few new ones. My favorite answer is about his most memorable onscreen kiss.
frappucino_babe22 in Onstage3 asks:
Working with Ben Stiller in “The Royal Tenenbaums,” is he as funny in person as he is on screen?
Luke Wilson says:
Yeah he is incredibly funny but I was surprised at how serious he is. I’ve been going down to the "Starsky and Hutch" set a lot. Ben is very intense like a lot of funny people. He is not like some zany goofball. He is a quiet introspective guy.
Sing-Sang in Onstage4 asks:
Luke, I'm a huge fan! How was it writing your first movie? (Wendell Baker Story) Is it something you'd consider doing again?
Luke Wilson says:
Yeah, it is something I would do again. It was one of those things where I just kind of did it in private. I would work between shots. That is when I did most of my work. I would get up early. I wasn't disciplined so I would write for weeks and set it aside for 4 months. I found it really satisfying and fun but I found that editing wasn't that much fun.
Txngal in Onstage4 asks:
What was a typical day like filming “Legally Blonde 2”?
Luke Wilson says:
"Legally Blonde 2"? You wait for Reese to get out of hair and makeup and you wait for Bruiser the Chihuahua to get to the set. . .
Luke Wilson says:
It was actually fun to work on the set. (laughs)
Luke Wilson says:
There was a new director and there was a good feeling that they knew it would be a big blockbuster hit. It was an unusual feeling to know that you had a big blockbuster on your hands. I was only on the movie for about five days. It was good to go in and out.
Digital Dish Diva says:
Charlie (the director) is a hoot, isn't he?
Luke Wilson says:
Yeah, he is a good guy.
emilyaussie in Onstage1 asks:
Hi Luke! Is it true that you are currently writing a movie for yourself, Owen and Andrew to appear in?
Luke Wilson says:
That is the "Wendall Baker Story" that we are filming in Austin Texas this fall.
hoopsnake1 in Onstage4 asks:
What's your thoughts on the movies you've done with Wes Anderson?
Luke Wilson says:
Those are the movies I am most proud of and as a filmgoer those are the ones I enjoy watching. It is closest to what I enjoy seeing in a movie. You wish everything would give you that kind of feeling but that is just not how it goes.
JaysPreggieReema1 in Onstage4 asks:
If you could work with anyone on a project, who would it be?
Luke Wilson says:
Probably Michael Mann. Or maybe Sean Penn. I like both these guys.
Alluring-Charisma in Onstage1 asks:
What would you consider to be your dream role?
Luke Wilson says:
I like the idea of doing something music oriented like Hank Williams or Waylon Jennings. My dream role to be to do a real character and to talk with that person or people who knew him.
lilmissrocker23 in Onstage4 asks:
Luke, when a director of movie asks you to be in the movie do you read the script or do you do it without knowing?
Luke Wilson says:
You always read the script but there are certain directors who I would work for in a minute. You always read the script though.
purple_passion_88 in Onstage1 asks:
Who was your favorite on-screen kiss?
Luke Wilson says:
Maybe the first one in "Bottle Rocket." That was the first one I ever did. I remember that night and what it was like. It was fun and I liked her. It was kind of a memorable moment.
SwEeTeSt_Tx_CuPiD in Onstage3 asks:
Do you ever get tired of all of the press and the lack of a normal life?
Luke Wilson says:
I have a completely normal life. Press isn't the part I enjoy the most. The making of the movies is what I enjoy the most but press is part of the deal. I don't always feel comfortable talking about myself.
Luke Wilson says:
It is not quite my style. I have to get into a mode and try to be more open and try talking about things.
Manolis_Varnasactor1 in Onstage4 asks:
Luke what is your biggest accomplishment in your acting career?
Luke Wilson says:
Thus far? Probably the things I am most proud of? “The Royal Tenenbaums,” “My Dog Skip,” working with Jeff Bridges and “Masked and Anonymous.” It was a real learning experience. It was like playing sports with someone who is better than you.
Luke Wilson says:
I learned a lot from Gene Hackman and Jeff Bridges. It helped me do a better job.
Digital Dish Diva says:
Favorite film?
Luke Wilson says:
Probably “China Town.”
Digital Dish Diva says:
Is there a pick up that works for you?
Luke Wilson says:
Do you like movies? (Laughs) No I'm kidding.
Digital Dish Diva says:
As a girl I gotta tell you that a straightforward hello works wonders. (laughs)
Luke Wilson says:
(laughs)
Digital Dish Diva says:
Thanks for the insight. (laughs)
Digital Dish Diva says:
