I made a new icon, you like? Actually - no. It is kind of scary. Like something from a B movie horror flick. Run away... Run away!

I thought most guys in the US were circumcised, especially those born in the 60'and 70', as it became standard practice. All the ones I've met have all been cut.

Nope. It's the preference of the parents whether they want to have it done or not. Personally, my encounters have been about 50/50.

I've worked on a few shows where we have male nudity...(it's a tough job sometimes #devil#)...Anyhoo, there was this one show where this American guy had a full frontal scene, very patriotic flew the flag for America ;D...I'm not kidding...everyone..even the gay guys said.."I would not let him any where near me with that. " An explanation from a fellow American gal cleared up the matter. No one had ever seen a circumcised man before. Scary, but impressive all the same!

booboo, I think you're correct. American males (especially white middle- and upper-class males) were commonly snipped not only in the 60's and 70's but also during the 40's and 50's, and perhaps before. Yes, it's true that it has always been up to the parents' choice but a lot of parents chose circumcision. Apart from religious reasons, the philosophy of the time was that circumcision was best in the interest of hygiene.
Of course, circumcision ('brit milah') has always been widely practiced among Jews. But since the 1980's, circumcision has become less and less commonly done on gentile babies.
Furg, thanks for answering a question I had long pondered but was unsure about posting, hee hee. We can assume that if Luke was snipped, his brothers probably were too.
