Hello all!
Well, my sister and I went to see "Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show" last night and had a GREAT time!

To say I was a little star struck to be 11 rows away from Vince Vaughn would be an understatement, but I kept my cool. He looked great in a gray suit with a white shirt underneath. I think when he dances, he can be pretty sexy!
Anyhow, the four comedians that came out were great! I have to say the first two were my favorite. Then, he had
THREE actors sprinkled in throughout the evening.
First was Peter Billingsley from "The Christmas Story." (I can't believe how short he is! Or maybe I can't believe how tall Vince is.) Anyway, they had fun on stage recreating a scene from an afterschool special they did on steriods when they were younger. They had problems getting started because Peter kept on cracking up and then Vince would give him a hard time. They also showed the actual scene after their reinactment, so that was neat, too.
The second actor was Justin Long. You remember him from "Dodgeball," "Jeepers Creepers" and the TV show "Ed." Justin really wanted to act out a scene from "Swingers" with Vince, but Vince had another idea. Out came a basket filled with dodgeballs and he invited a couple of audience members up on stage to throw a dodgeball at Justin. It was hilarious. When this little skit was done, Vince threw some dodgballs out into the audience and had Justin throw one up into the balcony. Afterwards, Vince finally caved and did a scene from "Swingers" with Justin.
The third actor who came out was Kier O'Donnell--the gay brother, Todd, from "The Wedding Crashers." It was fun watching members of the audience giving Vince an idea for a painting and then asking Kier to draw it. It was funny how all of the drawings Kier did were of him and Vince in "compromising" positions! Finally they reinacted that scene from the "The Wedding Crashers" where Todd shows up in Vince's bedroom.
Oh, and when Kier first came out, he looked at Vince and said, "I think they were all hoping I'd be Owen Wilson." Vince's comment was, "Nah, Owen's in Hawaii." Needless to say, I thought of you all! ;D
Funny how all of these actors are in "The Breakup" with Vince! It's great how he can call on them to take time out of their schedules to come to the show.
And, just like Lib said, Vince ended the show doing some karaoke . . . "Sweet Caroline." He was great! I was almost sad to see the show end.
The only downside to the evening was watching a drunk girl get up from her seat not once, but twice, and make her way up on stage to Vince. Vince thought it was funny at first, but I have to imagine he was maybe a little freaked after the second time. She tried to get up there after the show, but the security guards kicked her and her drunk boyfriend out. That is just so rude. We saw her outside afterwards, and everyone was making fun of her. You go to a show to WATCH the show, not to get wasted.
When we got outside after the show, we saw a small group forming outside of the side door--right by all of the buses, so we decided to hang out for awhile to see what was happening. After about 15 minutes, security had all of us stand up against the wall. Then Kier came out of one of the buses and stopped to shake hands and take pictures. After he was done, Justin Long came out. My sister and I have always liked him, so we were very happy to get our picture taken with him. He was so nice and down-to-earth. He shook our hands and asked what our names were. He even shook our hands again afterwards and thanked us for coming. (I'll post the picture in the "Member's Only" section.)
Well, then we waited and waited for Vince to come out, and finally security said he wasn't coming out so we better leave. I think one of the guys said, "Either you leave when we tell all of you to, or the police will make you leave." This guy appeared to take his job as security guard pretty seriously! So, a bunch of us left. So, I hope he didn't end up coming out. I would have loved to have gotten my picture taken with him. Oh well! We have to wonder whether or not the drunk girl had anything to do with it. Although we think she was long gone by then.
Anyhow, we had a great evening. Vince is the best! He's still in Wisconsin tonight performing in Madison.
And, my sister and I have to wonder whether or not we'll end up in some footage somewhere--maybe the documentary? They were filming us a lot in the theatre and they were filming us waiting outside for autographs. How scary would that be!
