I saw him myself. HUGE entourage. Tinalouise Even if I was famous, I could never travel around with an entourage! I would want some alone time. Maybe one other person but I just wouldn't want a bunch of people hanging around me. Who knows, maybe some people just enjoy that but I honestly don't think I would.

Vince is one of those actors I like sometimes and not all times. He was really good in Starsky and Hutch as was of course Owen. Ben Stiller is more of a fave for me as well as the Wilsons.

I think when it comes to fame, you have to plan on living in a fishbowl. People who are seeking fame should expect that not only could it alter there lives with fame and fortune, but with the hassles of fans, good and bad. One of the best experiences I've ever had was meeting Def Leppard! I was an 18 year old kid and they were my favorite band. Some of the members were nice, some not so nice. We never intruded on what seemed like private moments, but we did approach, get photos and autographs. I think the key to remember is respect, wether you are a fan or someone famous. That goes for Vince Vaughn. I don't believe everything that I read, but I am sure that tinalouise's assessment was accurate for that moment. I think you have to catch the celebrity at the right moment.

I just saw Vince V the other day. Very tall. Very Chubby. Not impressed. Him, his homeboys walked into restaurant.. followed by more guys... followed by tricked out girls... he was rather stuck up and full of himself. Oh, oh, oh...first hand celebrity sighting, cool! Thanks for sharing! Where did you see him, was it at Madeo's? There were pics of him on Faded Youth, he was with his fiancee, a long haired brunette. Was he being rude to people who approached, or just being loud and obnoxious? Maybe he'd already had a few drinks.

lonegazer, I agree with liking him sometimes, and sometimes not. I usually don't like him but have to admit I loved Cool, Dry Place and Swingers.
I saw him in Chicago. The air and water show weekend. I was staying at the Palmer House Hilton, and I think he was too, but I saw him at a restaurant a few doors down. He breezed in, like I said, with a bunch of guys, followed by some girls.
One of the patrons said something very excitedly. like, "I know you! You are that guy..." and he gave her a dirty look, pretty much pushed passed her and on to his table.
It said in the paper he was hosting a private boat, dinner/ drinks tour of Lake Michigan that night.

From recent pics I've seen, he's not as "chubby" as he used to be. And I can't see him being "stuck up", but you were there and I wasn't. One of the "tricked out" girls was probably his fiance. Anyway, at least he's no longer with Aniston, so there's something he's got going for him.

He breezed in, like I said, with a bunch of guys, followed by some girls. What's with the ladies being left behind? Tinalouise said the same thing....guys first, ladies last. Maybe Vince was horrified the patron would start reciting Vince's 'guy behind the guy' speech from Swingers. That's what I thought of, lol.

From pictures I have seen, none of these girls was the fiance. She looks pretty down to earth and cool. These girls looked like strippers. They may have been with his buddies and not him.
His chubbiness was mostly in his face. He looked really bloated.
Maybe he was just standoffish because he was sick of people approaching him. Who knows. Who can blame him. You get approached a lot more outside of Los Angeles or NY.
I just really don't think he is THAT big of a star to be so over it.

Well now we know for sure what you meant by tricked out girls, lol. He may have been standoffish if he was approached by too many people, but from the way you tell it sounds to me like he was drunk and just being obnoxious.

Congratulations and best wishes to Mr & Mrs Vince Vaughn. ;D
Totally marginal, but I'd expect a hotel with a name like Knickerbocker to be located in NYC or NY State, not Chicago. ;D
