A little gossip from the filming...

'Wedding's' Unwelcome Guests
Is this what they mean by method acting? On two consecutive weekends, the film crew of "The Wedding Crashers," a comedy being shot on Maryland's Eastern Shore, has displaced real wedding party guests from the Tidewater Inn and Conference Center in Easton, where many Hollywood production people have set up shop.
On May 15, one of the maids of honor in the wedding of a New York couple was dislodged at the last minute, although she made reservations months ago. While noting the irony of this turn of events, Tidewater General Manager Stephen Creese also was profusely apologetic. "I wish I could turn the clock back," he said. "I am sending her a gift package."
He confirmed that guests in another nuptial party, coming from overseas last weekend, also were bumped. But "they're very, very happy about it," Creese said, explaining they were relocated to private, upscale digs elsewhere.
"There are a lot of wedding parties," a film spokesman told us yesterday. "Everyone has done their part to accommodate everyone we can."
Indeed, the movie's stars -- among them Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Christopher Walken, Rachel McAdams and Jane Seymour -- also have dealt with room shortages since the production decamped from Washington for small Chesapeake communities, where filming will proceed through early June. Last weekend, the film rep told us, all the Hollywooders had to vacate the Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels -- bumped by a wedding party!

Raising Bucks for Yuks
So, you're a movie star stuck on the set of "The Wedding Crashers" on the Eastern Shore over Memorial Day weekend. What do you do? Well, when you're Vince Vaughn: Get your Tinseltown buddies to fly out and throw a fundraiser in nearby Dewey Beach, Del. Eureka!
Vaughn's "Outlaws of Stand-Up Comedy" is bringing comics Brett Ernst, Ahmed Ahmed, Sam Tripoli and Sebastian -- who frequent Los Angeles' famed Comedy Store -- to the Bottle & Cork Saturday. Proceeds from the $10 ticket price will go to the Army Emergency Relief organization, "in the spirit of Memorial Day," Vaughn told us yesterday. Also slated to co-host is Vaughn's partner-in-crime Jon Favreau. "Me and Fav might even hang out afterwards," Vaughn said casually. (Could it be a "Swingers" reunion?)
"It starts at 8:30. Not 8:45, not 9 o'clock," Vaughn warned. "First come, first served."
And for those who didn't get a glimpse of the "Wedding Crashers" stars filming in Washington a few weeks back, cast and crew return in two weeks. May the stalking (aka the Vince Vaughn/ Owen Wilson watch) resume!

Taking Names
That's a wrap "The Wedding Crashers," the forthcoming comedy starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn that filmed extensively in the District and on the Eastern Shore, is in the can.
"We just finished a few days ago," reported co-star Rachel McAdams, the 27-year-old starlet of "Mean Girls" and "The Notebook." "Owen and Vince were awesome," she told the Hollywood Reporter. "You can't take your eyes off them. They are so contradictory yet so complementary at the same time. "I like to say it's almost like a science experiment that went horribly wrong but is terribly wonderful to watch. They taught me a lot about improvising and finding the humor in every moment."

THANK YOU for the link Remi!!! Owen in the pic is REALLY PRETTY... I can never use enough " "s where Owen is concerned. I liked Wilson lazily intones about his knack for stealing scenes without breaking a sweat. "I think by the end, all my roles will just be playable from a chair." ;D Owen!

Owen's Frat Pack includes his comedic buddies and brothers... Rat Pack includes Sinatra's cronies in Vegas... Brat Pack includes the St. Elmo-Breakfast Club chums and eventually that leaves...
The Bat Pack-- includes the Lonely Luke Lovers gathered under Austin's Congress Avenue Bridge waiting for a familiar pair of hairy legs to run overhead...Then there is the "Flat" Pack--those of us waiting under the bridge for anyone to notice anything!!

Did anyone happen to watch "Entertainment Tonight" last night?? They had a quick interview with Owen and Vince regarding "The Wedding Crashers." The interviewer (Maria Menudos-sp?) asked them what type of wedding they want to have. Owen said he wanted a traditional wedding. (Awwww!) Vince made some smart remart--not being serious, of course.
It's nice to know these Wilson Boys have such family values. Is there ever a time when you see Luke or Owen doing an interview and they don't do something that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside??

AAV- I did see it and saints preserve us, I still had the VCR loaded after preparing it for Luke's pre-empted non-appearance on E! The only thing that ruined the ET segment for me was that annoying blip on Oscar De La Hoya-- again Owen looks charming in his suits and ties. Very classy...

Beachlover at The Wilson Brothers site found this Wedding Crashers review. Wow, great review...I mean, I am so psyched for this. And I'm excited to see Vince, especially if it might be his best performance yet. I love him...he's so great! Hopefully they'll add a little more Owen time in there...I mean, I don't want to feel that his story was shoved to the side...that would annoy me! I mean, the more Owen, the better!
