You're welcome! I'm a big fan of the original show. I was 12 when it came on and had a major crush on Hutch. I don't think they picked the best episodes to show on TV land but it might be interesting for those who have never seen the series. From the few commercials I've seen for the movie, they have definitely taken bits from the series and played it for laughs. Like the crying, touching and long embraces. It looks very funny to me and I'm looking forward to seeing it. Lisa

Where in Ohio? I'm going to Easton Towne Center. At least I'm hoping. We have some auction thing to go to for my friend's daughter. Okay, she's my Goddaughter and it is a fundraiser for her school and I promised I'd go and sit at their table they paid for. I've got to think of a way to get out of it. Am I horrible? I know I'm being tacky, but it is O-W-E-N !!! Forget Soundis, I think I'm the one being immature

I live outside of Cincinnati. It's at our Showcase Cinemas, part of National Amusements. So check out your theater listings this Friday. It should be in the paper.

Just be warned, with advance tickets, there is generally an extra fee. For Regal Cinemas, if you use Fandango, its costs $.75/extra per ticket. Also, advance tickets are not exchangable or refundable if something comes up and you can't make it. If you purchase them from the theater there is no aditional charge, however the other rules do still apply. Again this is just with Regal, I don't know how the other theaters work. Sorry, I used to work for them, so I feel the need to tell everyone about the 'fine print'

More fine print...if you get your tickets online for an AMC theater and you use your Moviewatcher card, the fee is waived.
HOWEVER...it is only waived if you used the AMC website or the Moviewatcher website. If you use something like Movies.com, you still enter your moviewatcher card, but you only get the points. You still have to pay the advance fee.
I thought that was pretty tricky.

I got this little note from a friend, who knew I was dying to hear about this movie, and went to an advanced screening yesterday. I just wanted to tell you that the film is great. It's not as fantastic as it could have been but it's still hugely entertaining and I wasn't disappointed at all.
Ben Stiller is perfect as Starsky and at his comic best, and Owen, well I have to say he has never looked better. I'm still trying to work out whether I really enjoyed the movie or just enjoyed looking at him! lol! But I think it's a mixture of both. He's a real charmer in this movie.
Although the end kind of peters out, rather than going with a bang so to speak, it's filled with lots of fantastic stand alone scenes. I mentioned before about the Will Ferrell one, where Will plays a prisoner eyeing up Owen ("show me your belly button" lol!), then there's Starsky in a dance competition (no dancing from Owen thankfully) and the pair going undercover as mimes in the white face paint.
Alright, I'm probably spoiling it for you now, but be assured it's good stuff! Ben and Owen have such great chemistry that it really makes the movie and they really look the part.
Vince Vaughn really is a great comic actor - he's terrific as the villain of the piece. Snoop Dogg can't act to save his life, and throws away some great lines because of it, but does look hilarious at least.
Oh and the highlight for me was undoubtedly Owen actually singing! In order to impress some girls he sings David Soul's Don't Give Up On Us Baby. He's not an amazing singer but not terrible either - you won't feel embarrassed for him at all. I know he kinda sings in Behind Enemy Lines (is that right?) but this has him strumming the guitar and singing.
I also liked it when he called the boy he was looking after a "cute little kid", kinda like that moment in Bottle Rocket.
I'm still not convinced by Todd Philips, but if you liked Old School this is much better.
I also have to mention the scene with the little towels too Very funny and Owen is looking fine!
I'm certain this is going to be a massive hit.
Hope I haven't ruined it for you and feel free to pass on what I've saidI am so excited about this movie and looking forward to hearing what those of you who get to see it this Saturday, think ;D

There are a couple of clips from the movie up on Yahoo. You will also see that it says they have loaded a second trailer, unfortunately there has been some sort of mix up by Yahoo. Trailer No 1 and trailer No 2 are the same, perhaps someone made a mistake setting up the link. I hope they will fix it if there is a second trailer so that we can see it ;D Click Here to see the clips
