Oh man, I wish I'd been there! Modified to add: Leave it to you all to come up with the idea of the cupcakes. I never could have thought of that! Just one more thing about you that makes you so cool.

From an lj board, this is what someone said:
well, here it is. Wes Anderson's directing a movie about two spies or something in a movie in front of a nice house, and he comes out of nowhere and advises the actors, looks to the camera and talks about what it's like being a director, spends a shitload of money on stuff, then walks around directing, gets on a camera thing [in the screenie] and says my life is about making things happen. that's why my card is American Express.
I saw it in a preview for the benchwarmers.
Jason Schwartzman is in it, too. I've yet to see it.

I saw it before The Benchwarmers (I'd reconmend seeing somerthing else). The commercial was cute. It'll give him some exposure.

the movie you go to see doesn't matter so much as the chain of theaters. The chain near me is sponsored by mastercard, so they wouldn't show an american express commercial.

I saw this today before Scary Movie 4. The spot was quite long. I thought it would be about a 30 second spot, but I'd guess it to be about two minutes. It was really cool. My theater here is Kerasotes.
BTW, Scary Movie 4.... I'd like my money back, please.

Aw, too bad about Scary Movie 4. I would like to have seen it but, thanks to your warning, I'm having second thoughts.
I suppose this is an example of a good idea being extended too long.

My friend and her son laughed through the whole thing. Already talking about buying the dvd. I thought it was dumb. I chuckled a few times, but found nothing to laugh out loud at. I liked Scary 3, but not this one. You may like it. But there were only 6 people in our theater to watch it. Which was a surprise to me since it's supposed to be the #1 movie this weekend.

I just saw this commercial on NBC in between the Scrubs episodes. I LOVED it!!! What a great commercial! It's really, really, really good! And it's very "Wes." Just like the M. Night Shyamalan was very M. Night. It's really great!
