Kristen Wiig joins Bill Hader in 'Skeleton Twins' 'SNL' thesps reunite on indie comedy co-starring Luke Wilson "Bridesmaids" star Kristen Wiig is set to join her former "Saturday Night Live" co-star Bill Hader in "The Skeleton Twins," an indie comedy that will be a co-production between Jay and Mark Duplass' banner Duplass Brothers Prods. and financier Venture Forth. Luke Wilson is set to co-star in the pic, which Craig Johnson ("True Adolescents") is directing from a script he co-wrote with Mark Heyman ("Black Swan"). Wiig and Hader will play estranged twins Maggie and Milo, who coincidentally cheat death on the same day, prompting them to reunite and confront how their lives went so wrong. For Maggie, that means re-examining her marriage to sweet "nature frat boy" Lance (Wilson), while her gay brother Milo revisits his old flame Rich, a former teacher with a past he'd rather keep quiet. Saw this tidbit....  A Many Splintered Thing is filming at 99 S. Raymond Ave in Pasadena tomorrow, Nov. 14. Chris Evans, Luke Wilson, Michelle Monaghan, Anthony Mackie, Topher Grace, Aubrey Plaza, and Giovanni Ribisi have begun filming in A Many Splintered Thing in Los Angeles and the LA area. The movie follows a young man (Evans) disillusioned by love who meets an engaged woman at a charity dinner by pretending to be a philanthropist. Challenged by the chase, he fakes a platonic relationship to keep seeing her. |

But the actor bucks any "frattiness" about his character. He thinks of him more as a very loyal dog. And with that, already the circumstances in "Skeleton Twins" sound a little funny. And perhaps a little sad. Wilson was just thrilled to work opposite of an actress who made the job fun.
"I had to make an effort not to laugh," Wilson told HitFix about the drama shoot, which also co-stars Wiig's former "Saturday Night Live" cohort Bill Hader.
"Skeleton Twins" made its debut this week at the film festival, but Wilson was also attending for another reason. Sundance wanted to honor Wes Anderson's earliest short and first feature "Bottle Rocket"; the full-length film bowed almost 20 years ago and starred Wilson and his brother Owen.In the video check out Luke Wilson's thoughts on that film and his opinion of the acting business in 1996 versus now, along with other feelings on being married to Kristen Wiig on screen.
