I don´t like babies but I´d had one with the wilson bros LOL Me too, tonks. I'm not a "kid person" either but it's possible that could have been changed had I met a man I loved and who loved me back. Andrew's son, Joey, was from his wife (or would she be wife #1?) The subsequent child or children were with other women. I'm not even sure how many children Andrew has fathered but all are from 2 or more mothers. Well, with Andrew having at least 2 kids that we know about and Owen with one-to-be, I wonder if Luke will feel pressured (or encouraged) to follow suit.

why? here if the father recognize the child it doesn´t matter if the couple is married, is it different there? Well, I thought legally the parents must be legally married for a child to inherit a father's name. Or that the father adopt his own child. That might have changed now since unwed mothering is so common; heck, even expected. Usually, if the parents aren't married, the child takes the mother's surname. My friend at work is an unwed mother, and her daughter has her surname, not the father's. And the father does recognize that child as being his. (An "illegal" marriage meaning one not recognized by the State). Probably there are others here who can answer your question far better than I.

some info about Jade in this article
Washington Post Style AMY ARGETSINGER: An A-list movie star has been redeemed by the love of a nice, normal government girl. It's like "Notting Hill" (But with guns! Maybe.) ... Reliable Source - Owen Wilson's babymama Jade Duell is a Beltway girl with an intriguing federal go voices.washingtonpost.com The TSA won't say she worked there -- but they won't say she didn't!..

Below is the text from Nana's link above if you are having trouble accessing it. The best thing about it is that THE Sexy Beast Andrew is in the photo. Hubba hubba. Nice legs! voices.washingtonpost.com/reliable-source/2011/01/rs-_owen_wilson_jade_photos.htmlIt's a Cinderella story with a Beltway twist: A-list movie star sweeps lowly federal employee off her feet.
(Or maybe not so lowly? That seems to be classified information for now.)
The announcement this week that Owen Wilson is about to become a first-time dad by girlfriend Jade Duell -- a name heretofore unknown to the celebrity-media industrial complex -- set off a flurry of fruitless Googling across the country. But we've learned she's a local. Duell, 28, grew up in a small Long Island beach community and graduated from the University of Maryland in 2004 with a degree in criminology -- which came in handy during one of her first jobs out of college, as a member of the Supreme Court's police force until 2006, the court confirmed Wednesday. For the past several years, public records show, she lived in the suburbs around Dulles Airport, before moving to Hawaii last month. (Sources told US magazine she plans to give birth there.)
Suddenly, a mysterious visit Wilson paid to D.C. last fall -- more than a year after wrapping up local filming of "How Do You Know" -- makes more sense. In mid October, he was spotted touring the Spy Museum, biking in Adams Morgan and taking a lady friend to dinner at Oyamel, but his rep would offer no information about what brought him here.
But what had Duell been doing in the D.C. area more recently? Don't ask the Department of Homeland Security. Though tipsters have claimed to us (and, for what it's worth, the Star tabloid reported Tuesday, citing an unnamed "insider") that Duell worked as a federal air marshal, a spokesman declined to comment on whether she has been employed in any part of the Transportation Security Administration, let alone the secretive air-born terror-prevention division.
Lessons learned:
Lady bureaucrats, it could happen to you, too! (It probably won't. But hey, you can dream.)
Guy travelers, think before you hit on the hot girl on your flight -- she might be packing heat.

I guess I am not the only one too chicken to give birth at home. Now the 'experts' weigh in. I don't think they should worry. If the story IS true I am sure they will have professionals on site. Plus Garcia is there to run for help. He looks smarter than Lassie any day. I had not seen the exact due date published...or at least do not remember it. I saw a site or something that said Babes With Babies: Owen Wilson to be a Dad! I think that sums it up perfectly! www.hollybaby.com/2011/01/13/owen-wilson-jade-duell-home-birth-risk-childbirth-kills-heather-wittenberg/Owen Wilson and girlfriend, Jade Duell, are going to become first-time parents at any moment. According to reports, Jade, 28, was due on Tuesday (January 11) so their little boy is a bit late. The couple is anxiously awaiting the arrival of the bay they’re going to name Ford Linton inside their $8 million Maui, Hawaii home because Owen, 42, wants his birth to be as peaceful and Zen-like as possible. But doctors tell HollyBaby.com that giving birth at home is very risky business.“The fact is that childbirth has killed more women in history than anything else,” says Maui-based psychologist Heather Wittenberg.
We were shocked to find out that the risk of dying in childbirth in the US is worse than in 40 other countries, according to Amnesty International. “I understand that parents today want less medical intervention. But at what cost?” wonders Dr. Wittenberg.
“Having a home birth, to me, is like saying ‘I think I won’t wear my seatbelt on a cross-country road trip.’ You know what? You’ll probably be OK, but why take the chance – especially when the risks are so high – and the victims so precious.”
Recently Dr. Wittenberg has noticed a disturbing trend amongst well-to-do parents. “I see more and more upscale parents, who reject the safety net of medicine – immunizations, hospitals,” she tells HollyBaby.com.
HollyMoms, we don’t need to tell you that pushing out a baby is hard work. Sure, the human body is a machine but even machines have a tendency to malfunction. If and when something goes wrong during the delivery, it’s best to be surrounded by medical experts.
If you want to give birth at home because you don’t like the super sterile hospital environment, Dr. Wittenberg says birthing units have come a long way since our parents were in labor. “Luckily today there are lots of great hospitals that know how to manage birth with the least medical intervention necessary,” she explains. These medical facilities have nurse-midwives to deliver the babies but the doctors are nearby should any serious problems arise.
“Celebrities should embrace the ‘middle ground’ of delivering in a home-like, but safe environment,” says Dr. Wittenberg. “Others will follow their example.” We certainly wish Owen and Jade the best of luck with the birth of their little boy, but HollyMoms, it’s probably best that you don’t follow their lead when in labor with your next bundle of joy.

Er, it must be marvelous to be loved! We love ya sabina. I really can't believe she is due now. They have done an excellent job of hiding it for 9 months. One celeb I follow was spotted in a shop buying a pregnancy test with his wife and all of a sudden the rumors spread. Well done Owen for being a little sneaky monkey on us.

Aww. Here is a really nice one and they mention his awesome family, too! Nice to see Mom and Dad getting some well deserved props. www.popeater.com/2011/01/13/owen-wilson-girlfriend-baby/While it is surprising that father-to-be Owen Wilson was able to keep his one-year-old relationship with girlfriend Jade Duell a secret, the 'Little Fockers' star intentionally kept his private life out of the spotlight. "Owen has had many girlfriends under the radar who no one knew about," says a source close to Wilson. "He may have dated high-profile women like actress Kate Hudson and musician Sheryl Crow, but that is not the norm for him. He likes regular people."
Wilson spent many holidays traveling around the world and hanging out in Hawaii where he owns property. He and Duell have enjoyed a clean, outdoor lifestyle, which includes surfing, swimming and hiking on Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
"He tries to blend into a community and has always kept his private life as secretive as possible," the source says, adding that his family has also been instructed to say nothing to anyone about him or his relationships.
Wilson, who is thrilled about becoming a first-time father, comes from a close-knit family in Dallas. His father is an advertising executive, speaker and writer, and his mom is an accomplished photographer. With brothers Luke and Andrew, Wilson has always maintained a close relationship with his parents, returning to Dallas several times a year.
"Now that he is about to become a father, some of the good upbringing he had will have a chance to shine on its own merit," the source says. "It's a whole new chapter in the Owen Wilson book of life."

Aw, thanks Hutchshottie. I don't know what it's like to have a sweetie-pie. It's best not to know what one is missing. You are so sweet. #hug#
Thanks for posting all the articles! I was wondering when I signed on just now (8:48 pm CST), if there might be a birth announcement to read!
Yes, the privacy issue. This is why I have questioned whether the person on Facebook identified as Owen Wilson is really him. Seems like it's too inconsistent with his desire for privacy for him to do a 1-80 and put himself on Facebook. Or have someone do that for him. I don't see what would be the point. What would be his purpose?
As for the mystery surrounding Jade's job and job history, there might be good reasons to keep it private and vague - for her own safety. And now for baby's and Owen's sakes as well. I wonder if she is on maternity leave and will return to work. But she may have hung up her holster for good now. Now that it's public knowledge that she is a U.S. Air Marshall with her photo in fan mags, and having a baby with an A-lister might make her too high-profile to be a U.S. Air Marshall anymore. That's just a total guess; maybe I've seen too many movies. ;D But she might work instead in a less public capacity.
As for the name Ford, Owen & Jade might like it for Harrison Ford, Glenn Ford, and John Ford who directed so many classic westerns. Or maybe they like Ford Motor Co. LOL.
I'm glad to see Owen settling down with someone who appears stable and "normal." ("normal" meaning someone who lives a private, non-celebrity life). And hopefully someone who will love him as he should be loved. He had great role models in parenting, and I'm confident he will be a super dad. I'm so happy Owen is so happy. Would that we were all so happy, eh? ;D

Would that we were all so happy, eh? ;D Agree 100% Jade is making a splash in (what I assume to be) her hometown paper. Ms. Duell sounds like she is quite a gal! suffolktimes.timesreview.com/2011/01/6452/jade-duell-of-orient-set-to-give-birth-to-actor-owen-wilson%e2%80%99s-baby/An Orient woman became an internet sensation this week after news broke that she is pregnant with the baby of actor Owen Wilson. Locally, we know Jade Duell as the daughter of Diana and Linton Duell, longtime owners of the Orient Country Store. She was also a sworn officer of the U.S. Supreme Court and a 2000 graduate of Greenport High School. But around the world people are clamoring to know just who Ms. Duell is. According to Yahoo, searches on the name “jade duell” rose an astonishing 288,000 percent in just one day this week, after word of her pregnancy spread. “The curious also sought details on ‘jade duell and owen wilson,’ ‘jade duell photos’ and the simple query, ‘who is jade duell,’ according to a story on Yahoo.com. After graduating from Greenport, Ms. Duell attended the University of Maryland, where she received a BA in criminal justice in 2004, according to school records. A good student at Greenport, the Suffolk Times’ 2000 graduation section reveals a host of accolades she claimed, including the Greenport PTA Scholarship; EESCO Foundation Grant; Greenport Teachers’ Assocation Scholarship; Griswold-Terry-Glover Post No. 803 Scholarship; North Fork Lions Club Jonas Higbee Memorial Scholarship; Orient Fire Department Award; Oysterponds Parents’ Guild Memorial Fund Scholarship; Southold Town Kiwanis Club Scholarship. In a 2004 issue of The Suffolk Times, Greenport community columnist Joan Dinizio congratulated Ms. Duell on her new career with the Supreme Court: “Greenport High School (in general) and Orient (in particular) can now lay claim to a connection with the highest court in the land. Diana and Linton Duell must be so proud (I know brother Matt is) that their daughter, Jade, is now an officer of the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Matt showed me some pictures Jade took while she was in training. I swear one gun she held was almost as big as she is.” Ms. Duell, 28, left her job with the U.S. Supreme Court in 2006, a court spokesperson confirmed Friday. She has been dating the Academy Award nominated screenwriter and star of “Marley & Me” and “Wedding Crashers” for a little more than a year, according to Entertainment Weekly. The two live together in Mr. Wilson’s home in Hawaii, Yahoo reports. Stories about Ms. Duell and Mr. Wilson, 42, have spread not just on celebrity sites this week, but also on maternity sites after details were revealed of the couples plans for a home birth. But most of the Internet reports reveal very little about the North Fork native, who Yahoo dubbed “Owen Wilson’s mystery girlfriend.” “It’s not often that the magical Web doesn’t reveal all,” wrote Yahoo reporter Claudine Zap. “In this case, we are coming up with few details on Duell’s life. We can tell you this: As far as we can see, the mystery mate hasn’t starred in any movies, walked a red carpet, or been on a fashion faux pas list.” The couple expects to give birth any day.
