i`m not loving the sound of this.i love hbo but luke is playing second fiddle to yet another blonde.Being a movie star you would think hbo would create a show for him. I do quite like laura dern,so it may be interesting, but only 30 min episodes,If he is to play her slob husband,he needs to stop getting hotter, cuz the most recent pics of him have been smoking...Now luke should grab a part in the amazing true blood hbo`s best show..

A little bit more news about this show but no still inkling about when it'll be shown as it doesn't look as if they've started filming yet. The linked article is mainly about new addition Mos Def but plot is similar to before. 'Enlightened', which was given the green light by the cable network back in September 2009, stars Laura Dern, Diane Ladd and Luke Wilson. The show focuses on Amy (Dern), a volatile woman who, after a meltdown, attempts to lead an enlightened life. Mos Def is slated to play her new boss when she comes back to work post-breakdown, while Wilson will play Amy's drug-addicted ex-husband and Ladd will play Amy's mother.www.theboombox.com/2010/06/23/mos-def-gets-enlightened-on-hbo/

I guess Mos Def is out, or at least according to this today. www.theboombox.com/2010/07/19/mos-def-no-longer-appearing-in-hbos-enlightened/What is interesting is that it says that they started shooting last week. Well, damn. No photos? Those paps are falling down on the job. Somebody call TMZ and wake up Harvey Levin. (Kidding!) Well, we know Luke was at Bethany Beach in DE over the weekend but I saw on twitter he was on a plane out on Monday. Is he back in LA shooting now? Hmmm, enquiring minds...

I hope we get some pictures from the set too, but most of all I'm hoping Luke has some luck with this and it gets renewed.

Me too lonegazer. My fingers are crossed but HBO is not on my good side. They canceled a brilliant show called Tell Me You Love Me AFTER they already said they renewed it. One of the actors in it, Adam Scott, is someone I'd love to see work with Luke or Owen. Anyway, Enlightened is the kind of show I'd watch with or without a Wilson brother in it so here's hoping!

According to the twitterverse, Luke was visiting San Francisco but while he was hanging out under the Golden Gate Bridge there has been a little more info re: Enlightened. It sounds like HBO is putting some $$$ into the production by getting some good folks to direct so this is good news. www.hollywood.com/news/Four_Big_Name_Directors_for_New_HBO_Comedy_Series/7096338Four Big-Name Directors for New HBO Comedy SeriesAlthough we've begun to get used to the idea of film directors taking charge of the pilot episodes of new TV series to boost viewership (think Martin Scorsese for HBO's upcoming Boardwalk Empire), we've never seen a combination of directorial talents quite like this. According to Deadline, HBO has lined up a number of impressive film directors to helm episodes of the new Mike White comedy series Enlightened, including Academy Award-winner Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs), John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Itch), Phil Morrison (Junebug), and Miguel Arteta (Youth in Revolt). Each would direct an unspecified number of episodes for the first season. Enlightened stars Luke Wilson (Middle Men, My Super Ex-Girlfriend) and Laura Dern (Recount, Jurassic Park) as a deadbeat and drug-addled husband and self-destructive wife, whose lives are changed when Dern has a spiritual awakening and begins trying to lead an enlightened life. HBO has picked up the series for at least nine episodes, with writer-creator Mike White set to direct the pilot. Demme, possibly the biggest name director amongst the indie talent mentioned above, is on board for at least a couple episodes. That's heartening news for us as viewers and especially for Luke Wilson, who I hope may finally be leaving the 'AT&T' phase of his career behind.

Seems like it's going to be a good production and hopefully it'll be shown soon after it's filmed.

Thanks, I can't wait to see Enlightened. I wonder if Luke's filmed that on and off over the last year due to his changing appearance. There hasn't been much news on Luke lately and his and Owen's community Facebook pages haven't been working so I miss seeing some gossip on those.

Locke - I love that you are chuffed. I have not heard that expression but I like it because it sounds like you are mad but I can tell you are not because of the 'lovely' beard. I am going to work the word 'chuffed' into a sentence today and impress my friends!
And I agree with you 100%. I find the beard quite chuffing, too. Luke can chuff me with his beard any day, honey.
Lonegazer - Yes, I noticed that Facebook appears to be jacked up for no apparent reason. What is up with that? Maybe it is mad about how it was portrayed in The Social Network?
Anyway, if you login on the main Luke or Owen page that looks broken (you will need a Facebook account) and then click on Related Posts under Luke or Owen's photo on the left you should be able to see the 'global' posts. Kind of a pain considering the small reward that is typically found there but we might just get lucky one day and see something juicy. You know, besides, "OMG! Luke Wilson is, like, totally hot in Home Fries." Ha!
