I just hate it that Luke is being trashed by such mean comments on twitter and elsewhere about his involvement with AT&T...He looks great, excellent in fact and the commercials are clever, funny and tell the truth about AT&T services. We have AT&T cell phone service and have had it for many, many years and it's always been great service and good customer service too when you have a question or want a new phone....I hope Luke continues his work with AT&T!!!
PS Most of the comments focus on the flip side from folks who have other cell phone carriers and like the service they have that said they don't know what their missing they should have AT&T instead.... ;D ;D ;D Thank you Luke Wilson, Good Job!!!!!

I love seeing Luke in the ads. He's looked really good in the latest ones so people on twitter complaining probably haven't seen Luke in anything since 2002 or something. I saw a picture of Val Kilmer this week and I did sort of go whoa! what happened? well middle age happened and he's spread all over as can happen but unfortunately he's getting a lot of 'Fatman' headlines in reference to his previous role as Batman. That's got to be worse than Twitter remarks I suppose.

Gossip Gossip Gossip....I do not believe this at all!!!!!
Mon, 29 Mar 2010 Luke Wilson a diva on the sets of his AT&T commercials, source says
Luke Wilson just wants to do movies, especially independent films, but he recently signed a deal with AT&T to make the funny commercials about the cell phone network's reach that you have probably seen by this point.
But Fox411 has learned that the "Old School" star is miserable doing the project and has earned a reputation for being a diva on set.
"Luke was awful during the filmings - he would even talk back to the director," said our source close to the TV spot. "He refused to say lines and wanted them re-written. There were some lines meant to direct the commercial in a certain way, but Luke downright refused to say the lines at all. Luke kept saying, 'I would never say that and I will not say that!' The staff and production teams were shocked."
F0x411 has learned that Wilson is so picky he won't share the camera with anyone, either.
"Luke will not shoot scenes with other actors," said our snitch. "Any scenes that include Luke and someone else were shot with the actors separately. He would not do scenes with anyone, so doubles are used and the scenes are edited together to make the commercials work."
"Everyone misses the old days when they didn't have a 'name' doing the commercials," our source said. "Luke has made the filming process so unpleasant that people dread working with him. Luke is annoyed that he has to do commercials to make money as an actor and he makes the experience miserable, because he's miserable. It's unprofessional and unpleasant."
Wilson's reps did not return emails requesting comment.
Wilson can be seen happily (we hope) working in his new film, "Death at a Funeral," in theaters April 16th.

I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't shoot scenes with the other actors as he was in such close contact with them in some of the ads. I'm not saying Luke's an angel because there have been past reports that he can be grumpy at times, just as anyone else can be but so many people have been involved in the AT&T ads that surely someone else would have tweeted or 'snitched' also about his supposed diva behaviour. This cartoon isn't about Luke, just a jokey fit to the Fox article.

Good for Luke about time he got a break.... Yea for AT&T AT&T Mobility: Luke Wilson is no 'diva"[/u][/color] The Atlanta Journal-Constitution AT&T Mobility says actor Luke Wilson is a terrific spokesperson for the company -- contrasting Tuesday's media buzz that he is just plain miserable on the set. "We're very pleased with our relationship," a spokeswoman for Atlanta-based AT&T Mobility told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.Wilson is the face of AT&T’s 3G ad campaign – the latest in its bitter war against Verizon Wireless for the most cellphone customers.

Nice to see something positive for a change. I honestly look forward to those commercials.

I do too, Startip. And new commercials seem to be coming out of the woodwork lately. ;D
I don't believe the "diva" reports either. I've never heard of Luke displaying any such behavior on movie sets so it makes no sense that he should suddenly start doing so on commercial sets.

I'm pleased that statement came out because if Luke had been really difficult during filming then why has he made so many of these ads, there must be ten or more of them. AT&T could have paid him off early on if they didn't want him anymore, but instead they've continued to use him.

***Read this comment today....Always knew the "Diva" thing was not justified....He is just a boy from Texas as they all are....and are not fake in my opinion....
Speaking of which, I met Luke Wilson at Turner Field in Atlanta last weekend. He was in town visiting friends. He's extremely nice, humble...not at all the AT&T diva I was expecting. We talked about all sorts of stuff and I was pleasantly surprised at how genuine he appeared. But of course he is an actor so maybe it was all a big fake out.

But of course he is an actor so maybe it was all a big fake out. I see no reason for the person to say that. Maybe the statement is true, and maybe it's not. But that's beside the point. I would ask the writer of this statement if he/she has never acted in his/her life. We all put on acts sometimes - especially when we have to or want to or think we will get something out of it if we do. It's not always "a big fake out." Sometimes it's just human, and sometimes it's just being what's called 'polite.' Sheesh. And no, I know Iluvtexas did not write this. She was only quoting someone.

Thank you Texasgal! Your correct I did not write that last statement. It was a part of the original comment. I just highlighted the complimentary part regarding Luke as I think he is just a ordinary Texas boy who holds a job as an actor and does so very well. I enjoyed the AT&T commericals.

I liked Luke's AT&T commercials too, Iluv, and I'm going to miss them.
The comment about Luke putting on a "fake out" kind of rubbed me the wrong way as it was so uncalled-for. Heck, I put on "a big fake out" every time I have to speak to my Boss! I have to show courtesy and respect even though those are the last things I want to show him. If I acted totally honest about how I felt about him, I'd be sacked. So that makes me "a big fake out" too. Sheesh!
