nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2009/03/is_wes_anderson_changing_the_e.htmlIs Wes Anderson Changing the Ending of Fantastic Mr. Fox? Wes Anderson's hugely anticipated stop-motion film adaptation of Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr. Fox screened for a New Jersey test audience yesterday. How was it? "Very good," says an anonymous message-board critic with a devil-may-care attitude about signed nondisclosure agreements. There is something slightly troubling, though. From the review: The plot itself doesn't deviate from the book that much. At the moment they've changed the ending slightly from the book, but from the feedback we gave in the discussion at the end, it wasn't particularly popular (although I personally thought it was quite good), so they may do something completely different with it. What could Anderson have possibly changed? And what makes his new ending so odious? Did he shoehorn in an Anderson-esque scene in which the three farmers are all simultaneously reunited with their fathers? Is there an egregious use of sixties Britpop? We're getting worried! www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=24731Meryl Streep Confirmed For Mr. Fox Oscar-winner says yes to fur Source: The Playlist Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr. Fox may have got even more fantastic, with blog The Playlist confirming the rumour that Meryl Streep has recorded the part of Mrs Fox for the animation. She joins a voice-cast already boasting the talents of George Clooney (as Mr. Fox), Anderson muckers Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman, as well as Willem Defoe, Jarvis Cocker, Michael Gambon and Owen Wilson. It's a wonderful line-up for what promises to be one of the highlights of the film-going year. The only downside is that it means we'll miss the honeyed tones of Cate Blanchett, who was originally said to be in line for Mrs Fox. While Anderson's stop-motion version of Roald Dahl's tale is still a work in progress, with sections of the animation unfinished, word from the advance screenings has been glowing. Expect Anderson's typically eclectic musical selection too, with tracks by Jarvis Cocker, Ennio Morricone and the Beach Boys. Fantastic Mr. Fox slinks into our cinemas on October 23. Phil de Semlyen

Phil de Semlyen I thought Owen did NOT have a role in the movie...does this mean he does? That's wonderful!!!!! Or have the reporters taken for granted, "Where there's Wes, there's a Wilson?"

Well since there has hardly been any Luke news for the past few weeks, I've looked for other news and found this cute still of Mr Fox's family released a couple of days ago. I've seen quite a few kids films with my sprog and I'd like to see this one too. www.joblo.com/excl-1st-mr-fox-pic

I was thinking the same thing, but then again, I don't think Wes would be caught dead in double breasted.
I can't wait for the trailer to come out. Next week I think.
