It must have been sort of like having a first date w/a hot guy & you just want to impress him but it ends of being stiff & awkward (of course until you've had a couple of drinks then you can relax & be yourself!) Lame comparison btwn a first date & meeting the Wilsons but you know what I'm getting at. In day to day situations, you're probably witty and clever, but not when you're in the midst of an opportunity that'll probably only happen once in a lifetime & you're under pressure. You're right in giving yourself credit for speaking clearly when they asked you questions. I enjoy your comments, keep them coming.

Aw, thank you, Caroline. #hug#
And yes, it was kind of like what you describe.

Texasgal Goodness me you actually met them. Congrats to you. Forget being witty just to see them in person and not faint would be an accomplishment in my book... #faint# True story: My husband and I once took our nephew when he was little bitty to meet Troy Aikman who at the time was our nephews "football idol". Our nephew was all decked in his Dallas Cowboy attire and when his chance came along to say hello bless his heart his little mouth dropped open and he just stood there quiet and shy. The more we tried to encourage him to say hello the more shy he became until he was standing behind us just peeking around to see if Troy was still there. On the other hand Troy was most gracious and understood I think to some degree just what it meant to our nephew and he took the time to talk to him anyway and asked him if he played in any sport etc. etc. You could not have asked for a more thoughtful kindness. After we left Troy was all our nephew could talk about for him it was a grand, grand day. For us (my husband and I) it was a very impressive moment as well. I would like to think and I am of the general opinion that any and all of the "Wilson's" would treat you with that same thoughtful kindness.

any and all of the "Wilson's" would treat you with that same thoughtful kindness. Oh, they did!! They were very gracious and down-to-earth, approachable people. The parents too, Mr & Mrs Robert (and Laura) Wilson. None of them seem "Hollywood" or full of themselves. Not at all. That's a cute story about Troy Aikman. Though I don't follow sports, I actually recognize that name! I met Donovan once in 1985 while he was on a concert tour. (I'm a Baby Boomer, and a lot of people wouldn't know who Donovan is so I understand if they don't). Donovan was SO SUPER SWEET! (And interestingly enough, I met the Wilsons for the first time on the same day that, years before, I'd met Donovan! Spooky!) And last year, I COULD have possibly met Peter Noone ('Herman' of Herman's Hermits: another Baby Boomer Band). Peter was (and still is) so so cute with a very cute sense of humor. He was going to be performing in Victoria, TX but I couldn't find any information about the concert. Not even on Peter's website!! So I didn't go. Then I found out - after the fact - that he was there and performed! And I missed it! It's not every day that Peter Noone comes to TX so I kick myself that I didn't just go to Victoria anyway! #stampfeet# And oh, I think Caroline had asked if the Wilsons are as great in person as they are on screen. The answer is YES! They look and sound just as they do on-screen. Except that Owen was smaller than I expected him to be. Not smaller in the shorter sense, but maybe in the sense of being small-boned. And yes, I did actually notice his hands while he was signing autographs: his hands looked reddened and dry then too like they have looked in photos. He must have chronically dry, irritated hands. Maybe some kind of dermatitis caused by an allergy? Maybe he's using a hand soap that's too harsh for his hands. Aw, poor thing, he should use some kind of medicated lotion.

Texasgal: How did Luke look in person? Tall & handsome as I would expect? Andrew is actually tallest of the 3 it seems. Were Luke's hands chapped? They look as smooth as a baby's bottom in that latest photo where he's clapping @ that bike race!

Yes, Luke is tall. He must be about 6 ft. And I think he looks even more handsome in life than in photos! And yes, his hands look to be of "normal" skin. (A "baby's bottom," lol!) And I love that he has long fingers. Not quite as thin as Owen's but long & slender.

Okay, before this goes back to the lotion and how it could be applied #wink# I just want to interject that Andrew was in Rushmore---he played the Coach. Remember he wasn't a big supporter of having the aquarium built on his playing field?
Okay, please return to discussing the in person real Wilsons. I'm enjoying your memories Tex!
