I did mostly enjoy the film as I do sometimes like slightly off-the-wall films, but like you I don't know if I would have made the effort to sit through the whole film if Luke hadn't been in it. Anyway, it was better than Soul Survivors in which if I remember rightly, Luke played a dead priest (ok he looked good in the outfit!) but I lost concentration in the last minutes of that film and didn't fully understand the ending. Owen's Anaconda was on again recently and it's one of those films I've started watching about 3 times or more, got further and further in each time only to change channels well before the ending, but I'm getting nearer to completing that I think.

I didn't get anything out of Soul Survivor either - except some good Luke moments. Apart from those, the film was a waste to me.
Same thing with Anaconda. Once Owen gets killed, there's no point in watching it anymore. It's painful to do so. It's like an endurance test.
I'm glad our guys can command much better films now! At least, watchable films.

Owen gets killed Oh well I definitely wouldn't have continued with the film after that point. The new film Owen will be filming with Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd seems more my kind of thing.

Oh, uh, sorry for the spoiler. I thought you knew even if you had not finished the film. Sorry! Well, his death is so far-fetched (along with the entire film) that it isn't much. Pretty awful death, to be sure! But totally over-the-top.
Yes, I can't wait to see this new film Owen is doing with Reese & Paul. Even if it's terrible (which is pretty unlikely), there's no way it can top Anaconda for terrible-ness.

*Off-Topic alert*
As much as I liked NATM, I was rather dissapointed, not enough Ben-Owen bromance. sure, there was lots of Steve-Owen chemistry, but its not the same. Nothing can match Benowen...nothing... I hope there are more Benowen scenes in the second movie.

SP, I hear ya. I hope for the same. Shall we make that bromance Ben-o or O-ben?
There should be a S&H 2 for the same reason as well as a Shanghai 3 for the equally magical (imho) O-jack bromance. Need to tie up some loose ends there in the plot too. They (O-jack) need to be brought back to the West and reunited with some of the characters from SN to wrap things up.

Here is a tidbit I found:
There’s quite a big film premiere on this week on Tuesday 12th at Leicester Square. Expect to see Owen Wilson, Ricky Gervais and Ben Stiller tread the red carpet for their film Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. The stars turn up from 6pm, but if you want to get a good view you’ll need to get there well before that to get your spot.
I follow Ben Stiller on twitter and he is already in London. I wonder if Owen really will be there?

BenWen - gets my vote Sounds good to me too, SLD. Thanks for the Owen schedule update, Lovene. If Owen is to be in London for tomorrow night, he's either already on his way now or leaving tonight. (Obviously, DUH!) ;D

Just seen on the tv interviews of Ben Stiller, Ricky Gervais and Hank Azaria at the London premiere but no sign of Owen this time. At one point the interviewer (BBC London news) asked Ricky and Ben where Owen was but Ricky distracted her straightaway, either accidentally or deliberately to draw attention to something in the crowd. Perhaps Owen will be at the US premiere.
