Any motive for not getting married? Yeah, I can name one: Luke didn't love Andrea. Oh, maybe he loves her as a friend (after 4 years together, I'm sure he does). But he does not love her as "wife material." Or, maybe she didn't love him? Why is it assumed to be all Luke's fault? There was enough in common to hold Luke & Andrea together for 4 years but that doesn't necessarily make them optimal marriage partners.

I've been very close friends with a college buddy. We've known each other for almost 40 years. We tell each other everything. But if we were to marry, I doubt our marriage would last. There are many different ways to love someone. Love is complicated.

Remember the Wilsons have a helluva mother in Laura Wilson. I can see why it might be difficult for their girlfriends to measure up to Laura. And one thing I can say for these Wilson guys: they are very cautious. They witnessed Andrew getting divorced, and maybe they don't want to have the same experience.

Don't know any of this about the Wilsons for a fact: I'm just guessing.

Oh, and I'm crazy for Bill Pullman too. Love the Bill! ;D

You misinterpreted my last post, girlfromipanema, in that "good old boy from Texas" is just an expression which I think means a traditional-type of guy who's maybe a little sexist or chauvinistic, that's all. This is all guesswork, since I don't know Luke or Meg so please don't take me seriously.

I agree with the points Tex made. He must not have loved Andrea enough to make that kind of commitment. Any guy who's 37 & never been married is a little dangerous to get involved with if you're looking to settle down.

I'm not sure if Luke will ever love a woman as much as he does golf, girlfromipanema! We haven't seen any pics of Meg lately. Wonder if they broke up? Probably not, they just haven't been seen by the papparazzi lately.
