Aw, darn it, that's not a good schedule for me - especially that night. I'll have to think about it. Why oh why is Andrew never the lead character? He's never even the supporting actor. C'MON!

Thank you for the updates Startip . . . if only my money plant would start producing some cash we could fly in for the night . . . and drag Tex with us.
Although, ten to one, the film will start late #wink#

Ok, sorry for all of the multiple postings, but no one else has had anything to say on here & I have ☛BIG NEWS! I went to see Calvin Marshall at the Ashland film festival. It was a pretty decent movie. Andrew had a bit more screen time than I thought he would. He plays Ernie who is the boyfriend of Calvin's aunt. The story line has a lot to do with this goofy kid Calvin not giving up hope, hope for being a member of the baseball team despite his lack of skill, & hope for getting the girl. When Calvin's chips are down, Ernie offers Calvin a "supervisor" job with his construction company. Steve Zahn had a pretty funny role as the coach, but he is kind of an ass. They had a Q & A session after the movie which was awesome! Michelle Lombardo, Gary Lundgren and Anne Lundgren were all answering questions from the audience. Some of the questions posed were, how did they pick the location of Medford Oregon? The Lundgren's had family there and had visited the area often and liked it here, plus the big tax incentives. Why did it take so long to get the movie completed and shown? Being an indy film they knew that it would take them at least a year to complete the post production, also they are a small team of 4 that were working on the film, and most importantly, finances. This film had a budget of around 1.5 million dollars. One audience member specifically asked about the casting and more specifically Andrew. She had mentioned that at the Maui film festival Andrew said that he wasn't going to be seen in front of the camera. I personally think that is weird cause he had been filming Church ball around then, so I am not sure if that is an accurate statement. Any how, Gary's answer about getting Andrew on board was that he had seen him driving around the LA area in his porche with his long hair and beard and immediately thought that Andrew would fit the roll as a construction worker. Gary said that he was a big fan of Owen, Luke, and Andrew, and that Andrew was a great guy. They felt they were real lucky to get him. Gary said that he didn't believe that Andrew had the same drive to be an actor that Owen and Luke has. Some interesting things to note, Andrew wore a lot of plaid shirts (duh!), & the movie is definitely NOT for children as coach little has severe foul language, and there is a sex scene in a car with Tori and Calvin. Also, a man asked one another question that I was dying to hear the answer to, will there be any of the Ernie's construction shirts for sale, and the answer is YES! You will be able to order the shirts in the future, you can pre-order the movie as well in DVD, or bluray. There will be a soundtrack available as well. They had posters for sale at the film fest, the plain one with Calvin standing on the post was $5.00 and the autographed ones from Michelle Lombardo were $10.00. I bought the autographed one for my oldest son. They had T shirts and ball caps for $10.00 each. This is all supposed to be available on the Calvin Marshall web site, but I do not see it on there at this moment. There was a Calvin Marshall Reunion after party after the screening of the movie that was open to the public, so of course we had to attend that. It was at the Standing Stone brewery in Ashland, just up the road from the Armory where the movie was screened. They had live music from Clampitt, Gaddis & Buck who had 3 songs in the movie, they were a bluegrass band and were pretty good. We saw Michelle Lombardo come in and Gary was there as well. I am not sure if Gary's wife Anne showed up or not, as we ate, did a little people watching then left as it was very late. As far as screenings elsewhere, you will have to keep your eyes and ears open, if you haven't checked out the Calvin website yet, I suggest that you do, as well as becoming a fan on facebook. They did mention that there will be other screenings here and there. Also, they have been involved in doing screenings for charity, such as little league baseball, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Arizona Academic Decathlon, as well as others. So there may be other opportunities to check out Calvin. I am just not seeing it getting overseas though, although I could be wrong. www.facebook.com/calvinmarshallmovie calvinmarshall.com/

Thanks for posting this as I haven't been to any of these special screenings over here as there aren't so many. So it's not just us who've noticed Andrew wears a lot of plaid shirts, and not only Andrew actually, I think all the brothers have worn them in the past and Luke seems to like them a lot too. I've found this recent picture of both Andrew and Luke wearing the shirts at LAX airport last month. Andrew has part of his head cut off as I don't think the writers recognised him! Also, Luke wore a plaid shirt again for the Death at a Funeral premiere last night (pictures in the movie thread). www.zimbio.com/pictures/k_ceBYauSA-/Luke+Wilson+at+LAX/dz8_DxB7TSj/Luke+Wilson

Thank you for the report, Startip. I'm glad you were able to attend.
Yes, all 3 of the Wilsons wear plaid shirts often - especially Andrew & Luke. We've seen them photographed in these same two shirts before.
;D
