Is John C. Reilly a part of the Frat Pack? Assuming he might be, I'm posting this audio conversation with him and director, Jake Kasdan. They discuss their movie Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. This was originally broadcast when the movie was first released and re-broadcast today in honor of the release of the dvd. If interested in listening, click below: www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=89732838Takes about 45 minutes to listen but worth it. I missed the movie but it sounds well worth the dvd rental! I'm very impressed with John C. Reilly's singing. He does a respectable job imitating Bob Dylan and "nails" Roy Orbison. On several notes, I could believe it really was Roy Orbison singing. Edited to add: In the photo, Mr. Reilly is sitting on what looks to me like a 1954 Buick. (I know because my grandparents had one, lol).

Reilly is certainly a Frat Pack friend, aligned with Jack Black and Will Ferrell obviously, but not with the others.
That's a great interview. I remember it from when Walk Hard came out. Thanks for reminding us. :-)

You're very welcome, Kevdo.
I'm also impressed with how well the composers captured the music of the times for which they were writing.

I dont need to say anything more as the Frat Pack Guru, Kevdo has already cleared it. JCR is a pledge along with Paul Rudd (next probable member), David Koechener, Seth Rogen, Justin Long and others
As of now our beloved pack (or as I call it sometimes, Ben's Seven! ;D ) has seven members, Ben, Will, Vince, Owen, Jack, Luke and Steve.

Ah, then it's The Magnificent Seven!. Or, if you prefer, the movie on which Magnificent was based, The Seven Samurai.

Dont worry, you see, Paul Rudd is awesome, but he hasnt established himself as a lead actor at the frat pack front, so its gonna take time...
I call them Ben's Seven with ref. to Ocean's Eleven.

I wonder how/why many of the Rat Pack movies came to have numbers in them: Ocean's Eleven, Sargeants Three, Robin And The Seven Hoods, etc. (That Rat Pack consisting, of course, of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Joey Bishop, and Peter Lawford). Doesn't seem like the "digital titles" was accidental, I just wondered how it started...
However, Two Mules For Sister Sarah is an exception as it was not a rat pack movie. That was Clint Eastwood and Shirley MacLaine.
OK, I wonder just how far off-topic can I get... maybe we could start kind of a contest... ;D
