thx Texasgal, I feel kind of helpless at the moment, knowing i can do nothing but to wait for newsupdates.
all I really wanne do is having a good cry, which i think ist kind of, well, weird( i didn want to use the "P" word)couse i never met owen, i dont know him, i should not be so affected by the story...

Airria, you feel sad because the situation IS sad. It doesn't matter that we don't know Owen personally. Anytime this happens - especially someone as young, talented, charming and healthy as Owen - it's a tragedy. So many talented young people have been lost to drug overdoses: Janis Joplin, Brian Jones, Keith Moon, Jim Morrison, Billie Holliday, Jimi Hendrix, etc. etc. Every time this happens, I hate it.
Why people self-destruct is haunting. If only we knew what despair drives people to do these things to themselves...

I'm only new here but I'd just like to add how sad this is.
I've only just read this online, which lead me to here.
My prayers go to Owen & his family, that he will get through this,
and move onto a bright & wonderful future.

OMG! I just heard it on the radio.
Poor O! I hope he's doing better by now.

Yes, just heard it on my radio too - although the DJ's just read the same reports that have already been posted here. They couldn't believe it.

Airria, I am so sorry it was scary when we were guessing about why he went to Cedars; it is a much larger hospital with the best care, so hopefully that's the main thing.
I tried to sleep, flipped through the news channels on television, still haven't heard much new...
I just hope he's going to be alright, and I hope he knows how much we all care.

Hi Friends. Haven't seen this posted yet, but Owen issued a statement. Can't remember it exactly, but it was 'I respectfully request that the press allow me to heal ....?forget?..... in private.' Something along those lines. So, he did issue a statement, but no details.
