That is really weird about the jade thing. I mean I assume its confusion regarding Owens sons mother but still. Luke's wiki page doesn't say that.

Oh my goodness...I read the article written about the author's appreciation of Owen's style of acting & writing. It held my attention until it gets to the part where the author comments on the trials of Owen's personal life and the supposed events of the past. The authors reference to supposed events prompted me to write this post.
I am a fan of Owen's work, I enjoy his movies (some more than others) but never would I critique his work and tie in his personal life along side my appreciation. I do not know anything about him personally nor do I ever expect to which clearly defines me as a "fan" of his work and what it represents to me, which is this: He makes it fun to watch his movies...the exception being "Marley & Me which made me and the entire audience cry beyond shedding just a tear...I personally needed the entire box of Kleenex to get through that movie. That said it is a favorite of mine and on my top ten list of movies even though I know going in I will cry again and again.
It bothers me when assumptions are made regarding Owen's personal life as this author gave way to in a otherwise glowing review of his work. Owen has not ever spoken of his personal trials so why assume anything? Why not stick to what you know to be true for you as a fan and that is Owen makes movies for a living and by doing so does his best to bring his character in the story to life. Whether or not he makes it look easy for whatever reason is of no consequence to me. He has done very well for himself so if in fact it is easy for him to do the job he has chosen to do then "more power to him" that is success on so many different levels.
As I write this Elton John is on the radio and "Your Song" is currently playing, you never read a review saying Elton John makes singing that song seem easy because of his personal trials. No, the commentary you hear is Elton John's song "Your Song" is a hit record, a classic tune for the ages, one of his best among a whole lot of "best songs"....
I enjoy being a part of the "Wilsonettes" on this forum because it links me to others who also are fans of Owen's movies, Luke's movies, Andrew's movies (when he makes one) and some of Wes's movies. This forum allows me to be a part of any discussion regarding the movies even though there is not much discussion that happens anymore. I would think that being as successful as Owen is has it's perks but being a celebrity on today's terms is not something that appears to be easy to navigate, to do so at least for me would be far from easy. I admire those that have what it takes to put their work out there for the world to see. Would I be "star struck" to ever meet him or any one of his brothers, sure I would but by the same token they might be "just as impressed" to meet me because at the end of the day isn't it about just doing the best work you can do, in Owen's case he obviously does so many times over isn't that enough?

Hotdog did you read it...Good for Owen walking away and leaving the situation alone. The art dealer needs to cool off and get over himself and while he is doing that he needs to make some big apologies to his friends. I would say that next time he is buying them both lunch....
