If Sheryl is a good person she'd be happy that he's getting everything he's ever dreamed of, and that the public is being "half-decent" to him. But I'm sure it's weird and a little hurt(ing) when you see an ex with someone else...I mean, when I see ex's with other people, I'm not jumping for joy, but then, I don't want them to be alone or unhappy.

You could never bore me with too much Wilson news. So, write on!
I had written earlier that I read an article indicating Sheryl had terminated her relationship with Owen. But later in that same article, it also stated that she was very depressed after this and did what Brian Wilson did: stayed in bed for months. (Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, no relation to Owen). The article didn't indicate that the depression and the breakup were related, but how could they not be? If Sheryl had really wanted Owen out of her life, then why would she have been THAT depressed after he was gone?
Perhaps it was a mutual decision between the two of them.
Just idle speculation. (And, yes, I have way too much free time on my hands!)
I did see that photo you're talking about, the one of Sheryl & Owen meeting at the fashion show. It was in Us mag, I think, and I'm sure I still have the issue. (I don't throw anything away that's got Owen in it!) Yes, they did look uncomfortable in the photo, and Owen does appear to be standing quite rigid.

Sometimes even though you know that someone isn't right for you, it still takes a long time to get over them. I was with my son's father for a year but I must say that it took me nearly three times that to get over him. When you end things with someone that doesn't mean that you stop loving them. I don't think you ever fully stop loving another.

I know I'm spoiling my husband by not fully stopping to love him (we're getting divorced) but I just can't do anything about it.

It's to the credit of Owen and Sheryl that they don't publicly point fingers at each other regarding the demise of their relationship.

BP,
You couldn't be sweeter if you were swimming in syrup!
I didn't think you meant anything negative. It just struck me how gracefully Owen and Sheryl have handled breaking up in the public eye.

OMG you're the SWEETEST too!!! Margot It just struck me how gracefully Owen and Sheryl have handled breaking up in the public eye. Very true. Sheryl must be a wonderful person just like Owen is.

You're all correct about parting company with somebody. I compare it to pulling a decayed tooth. It has to go, but it still hurts to pull it. That's how it was when I split up with my ex-husband.

Okay. I found a couple of pics of Owen and Sheryl at that fashion show. They're being nice to each other, but seem somewhat uncomfortable. It sucks to bump into an ex. Oh, my. Haven't we drifted a long way off topic. Sorry for my contribution to that!

omg, if that is his girlfriend, wow!! she dresses really nice. And yeah, those pics of his ex are really "ouch"...would have like to see that (for the gossip of course) but like why would she want them photographed together...unless she still feels something for him? and what does his hands in his pockets mean?? uneasiness, stand-offish?

Things that make ya say "Hmmmmm"! I read a long time ago, after their break up, that Sheryl ran into O at a club and he was NOT alone. She was inebre...drunk, and had assistance leaving. O remained for a bit longer with his new gal (some model) and then they left together. More recently, I watched Biography on A&E and it was on Sheryl. They discussed her depression prior to and after O (not related to him). They discussed her engagement to Eric Clapton (yeah, the girl's got taste) which was prior to O. They said exactly one sentence re. O. (something like Sheryl briefly dated upcoming star Owen Wilson) and then moved on to her next endeavour. She is currently, from what I hear, head over heels in love with a world class bicyclist I believe (or decathalon athleete?). Someone must know his name here. Help me out. Anyhow, they downplayed, almost didn't mention she and O at all. I have no worries for that girl! In the pic possibly just having an expectant camera in your face was unpleasant, who knows?

Lance Armstrong is the cyclist. He has 3 small children - sort of surprised he was getting divorced.
I think the girl that O was w/ in the bar was G Gershon?
I see his hands in his pockets as being very closed towards her and defensive. Think about being with people you like. Do you usually have your hands in your pockets? He hasn't even bothered to take his sunglasses off and hes inside!

Lance Armstrong has won the Tour de France bike race five times (so far).
In 1996, he was the top-ranked cyclist in the world when doctors discovered he had testicular cancer. They operated (yes, he has spare room in his shorts) and he took about 2 1/2 years to recuperate. In 1999, he won the Tour for the first time, and has won every year since.
So, Sheryl obviously digs successful guys. Lance also happens to be from Texas, so there's something else she likes.
