Salem's Lot. The original in 1979 w/ David Soul. Not the recent one with Rob Lowe. Remember when that kid was floating outside and scratching at the window? AAACKK!!! There's this window in my house that is 'up' from the rest. I used to look at it every five minutes to make sure no one was floating outside of it. Oooo, lucky for y'all, I've found a picture... click...

IMAQT, that vampire kid floating outside the window was the creepiest part of the movie! EEECK!
And I don't know how many times I've seen Wait Until Dark - and I STILL jump at that scene!
Here's another pretty good one: What Lies Beneath. I think what I liked best about it (besides the cast) was that it was SO Hitchcock-ish. Even the music was in the style of Hitchcock.

I've recently seen a couple good horror flicks worth mentioning - Feast and Slither. Feast is a Project Greenlight screenplay winner. It's kind of a gory Sci-Fi with a great sense of humor. I loved the way they messed with the audience - they led us to believe it would end entirely different than it did (see it, you'll know what I mean within the first 10 minutes or so). I don't get into gore and blood at all, but I didn't think this one was too horrible. It wasn't the type of movie to give me nightmares either. Slither was so much fun! Gorey and disgusting, yes. But, the dialogue was hysterical! I just had to find out who wrote it! It's much on the same lines as Tremors and Shaun of the Dead and the 2004 version of Dawn of the Dead (which was written by the same guy as Slither). I only had to cover my eyes a couple times because of gore. Also, not the type of movie to give me nightmares. Event Horizon Night of the Living Dead Texas Chain Saw Massacre Others The Birds Christine Poltergeist Psycho Hide and Seek Sixth Sense 28 days later The Exorcist Freddy VS. Jason Rosemary's Baby Salem's Lot What Lies Beneath Wait Until Dark The Grudge Feast Slither I added a couple more that were mentioned but not listed.

I've recently seen a couple good horror flicks worth mentioning - Feast and Slither. Feast is a Project Greenlight screenplay winner. John Gulager ROCKS!!! I love watching Project Greenlight and this guy was the most entertaining winner yet. His dad was a hoot too! Gulager! Gulager! Gulager! Beth, won't see the film 'cuz it's already been established that she's a wimp

Beth, from one wimp to another. I made sure to see The Shining only when I'd be leaving the cinema in broad daylight - and only with a good friend!
