Ben Stiller To Host Kids' Choice Awards

"Meet the Fockers" star Ben Stiller is the choice for host of Nickelodeon's 18th annual Kids' Choice Awards.

This marks the first time Stiller is hosting the show.

Stiller has starred in such hits as "Meet the Parents," "There's Something About Mary," "Zoolander" and "Starsky and Hutch."

At the awards, children get to pick their favorites in entertainments and sports during the show.

But some unlucky participant, like last year's host, Hugh Jackman, will get dumped with trademark green slime.

Nominees include "Shrek 2," which received a leading five bids including Favorite Movie and Favorite Video Game.

The ceremony will air on Nickelodeon in April.

Meet the Parents star Ben Stiller is going to be a parent himself—again.

Stiller's wife, actress Christine Taylor, is pregnant with the couple's second child and is expecting sometime this summer, publicist Kelly Bush said Thursday.

Stiller, 39, and Taylor, 33, already have a 2-year-old daughter, Ella.

Christine Taylor. Quinlin Dempsey Stiller was born July 10 in Los Angeles and weighed in a 8 lbs., 2 oz., People magazine reported Monday.

Stiller, 39, and Taylor, 34, have a 3-year-old daughter, Ella.

The couple, who both starred in "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" and "Zoolander" together, wed in May 2000.

That would be sad, I thought he was extremly funny.

I just checked a search, and there's no reference to a date of death for Jerry Stiller.

His birthday is listed as June 8, 1927, born in NYC.

The man who played Seinfeld's Father on the television show Seinfeld passed away not too long ago. Maybe that's what you are thinking of? Mr. Stiller played George Costanza's father.

Actor Barney Martin died of cancer on March 21, 2005. He played Jerry Seinfeld's father, Morty.

He must be the one arik was thinking of.

LOS ANGELES - Teri Polo is set to reprise her role as Ben Stiller's wife in "Meet the Little Focker," the third installment of the movie franchise. "I think he cast me in the role because I play a great straight man," she said. "Actually, I think I'm funnier off-camera."

Polo worked with Robert DeNiro in the 2004 sequel, "Meet the Fockers," and in 2000 in the original "Meet the Parents."

"I literally glued myself to his side because I didn't know if I ever was going to get this opportunity again," she said of their collaboration. "I asked him what was more difficult — comedy or drama — and it surprised me when he said it's basically the same thing. It's all in the way you deliver the line."

Polo, a 37-year-old divorced mother of a young son, can next be seen playing a cynical divorce attorney who finds love with her legal opposition in "Love is a Four Letter Word," airing Saturday on the Hallmark Channel.

Love and marriage are recurring themes for Polo's projects this year. She plays one of three sisters running a wedding-planning business on the upcoming Fox series "The Wedding Bells," written by David E. Kelley.

The Hardy Boys have grown up, but haven't necessarily matured

Ben StillerBen Stiller, who once played Tom Cruise's stunt double, Tom Crooz, in an MTV Movie Awards spoof, will be teaming up with the real thing.

The two actors have signed on to star in "Hardy Men," a comedic take on what happened to the teenage detectives the Hardy Boys, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The action comedy sees siblings Frank and Joe Hardy all grown up but estranged. It's just like old times, however, when they're forced to reunite and solve a mystery. It's uncertain what other characters from the long-running book series, which began in 1927, will make it to the big screen. The books, written by ghost writers under the pen name Franklin W. Dixon, featured the two teen siblings as amateur sleuths who lived in the fictional city of Bayport with their famous father, private detective Fenton Hardy.

Under his Red Hour Films banner, Stiller will produce along with his partnter Stuart Cornfield. Stiller will reunite with his "Night at the Museum" director Shawn Levy, who will helm the 20th Century Fox buddy film.

A script has yet to be written, but the studio is shooting for a 2008 release.

The Hardy Boys characters have been adapted for the small screen a few times as stand-alone programs on "The Mickey Mouse Club," as a Saturday morning cartoon series in 1969 and as an ABC prime time series starring Parker Stevenson and Shaun Cassidy in the late '70s.

This will be Cruise's first intentional comedy since 1996's "Jerry Maguire." Stiller, on the other hand, has done little else in recent years. His films include "Night at the Museum," "Madagascar," "Meet the Parents" and its sequel, "Dodgeball" and "Starsky & Hutch," another updated spoof co-starring Owen Wilson.
