he he he ;D kiss kiss ;D THANK YOU HT!!! You are so wonderful Owen and Luke are very respectful, very polite people!!! So they always deserve to be treated with respect. How could Owen have been so polite to me? I still can't believe it. He bent down to be at my eye-level to talk to me. I'm sure Luke is as polite, I hear many stories of how nice and gentle Luke is TWBS came from the beautiful and gorgeous mind of Luke, like LukesGirl said. I cannot wait at all!!!

I can't wait either, Bunny. It will be so great to see the Wilson Bros. together again - performing their (Luke's) own creation! What a treat!

I know that we will all love this film -- I just hope it is a critical success for Luke as well. It is tough to put yourself out there as he has done. The following was a reponse to that pompous film snob on imdb.com. Date: 3 June 2004 Summary: SETTING THINGS STRAIGHT FOR WENDELL BAKER. Well, first of all, any reviews posted here as of this date are without question, premature. The write-up posted here at this time is the result of a TEST SCREENING. I know this person helped with the beginnings of a Wendell Web Site or something to that extent, but the invitation was not to a premiere. If they've had the premiere, then I should be justifiably upset for not having been invited since I worked on the film and had a role in it as well. Fact is, they have not had the premiere yet, and are no where close. I know this, because the actor playing Wendell is a friend of mine, hence the role etc. Luke wrote a rough draft of this 5 or 6 years ago and remained persistent in getting it made. There are no other co-writers, including Owen. Luke and his older brother Andrew directed, Andrew at the helm for the most part, while Luke was on the other side of the camera. The brothers are settling some other business before they go full steam in doing PR and getting this in the theaters. Anyone who likes the Wilson clan, will get something out of this movie. Don't expect Wes Anderson, because it's not Wes Anderson. Almost every film has it's share of flaws. The person who saw the test screening jumped at the chance to point those out, but that's why they're having a TEST screening. One out of many, mind you. To iron out some of those flaws. To re-edit etc. Chances are this person still won't like it after they smooth out those edges, but that's her opinion. The experience on the film was wonderful and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Remember, it's a comedy, so go easy on the lack of certain qualities that are easily forgiven in that genre. Besides, isn't the goal of a first time writer to do the best you can, put yourself out there, make mistakes, learn from them and go forward? Pretty much. From there, film making just gets better. I'm looking forward to future ventures with the Wilson family, Luke especially. He as well as his brothers have my unconditional allegiance. Respectfully, king orba Here's the direct link -- scroll down to the comments. www.imdb.com/title/tt0373445/

I was wondering who King Orba is, so I Googled him and found this website. www.musictexas.com/kingorba.htmlDoesn't Luke look cute in that western shirt? Do you guys think the real King Orba might actually have posted that response?

What a great find, Lukesgirl. I am absolutely loving that picture of Luke. I really like to see him relaxed like that - and I love on set pictures.
I'd like to think it was the real King Orba on imdb.com. I can't imagine why someone would pretend to be him.
Thanks!!!

That's funny - I was serious actually. But after reading my sentence again, I can certainly see where I come across as catty -- quite the southern belle! After some thought, though... I could stand behind either reading of that sentence.

King Orba, hmmmm....sounds like a turbanned Turkish pasha in an Arabian Nights story. Just the perfect addition to add to the cast of characters that the Wilson-Anderson contingent draws from the populace at large. Since we comprise a part of that group, I salaam Orba and say, "Welcome to the casbah darlin'- and thanks for your wonderful common sense review of Luke's pet project." One more thought on a past post of mine: What this guy's big beef?... did his unhappy girlfriend call him Luke at a very personal, pivotal moment the night before he went and saw the screening?? In any event, he sure has it in for our man.... Orba's comments refer to the premature review as written by a woman! ( "her opinion...") Whoa! Now that adds a little icing to a different flavor cake and my former post needs minor revision. Given the passionate tone of that premature review, this sounds more like a woman who needed a personal, pivotal moment the night before she went and saw the screening!!

I don't know if you guys have been keeping up with the "review" threads regarding TWBS on imdb.com. They are getting quite funny. That CDDZEC is very sensitive and can't seem to take even light criticism. He seems petulant, peevish and pissy. "P" cubed. Here's his latest childish posts. I think his reactions to what other's think about his reviews tells us all we need to know. I think it is great that Wilson fans are so passionate and care so deeply-- don't you! He was simply not prepared

Well, clearly the evaluation of the movie was premature. Don't 'cha just hate "premature evaluation".
